Modeling psychological well-being of employees based on job satisfaction and satisfaction of basic needs with the mediation of resilience in the work environment among welfare employees in Tehran province

Abstract :

Objective: The purpose of the study was to model psychological well-being for job satisfaction and satisfaction of basic needs with the mediation of book-keeping among welfare employees in Tehran province. Methodology: The research method was applied in terms of purpose and in terms of the method of collecting field data. Based on the purpose, this study is a descriptive-correlational research and structural equation modeling. The statistical population was all employees of the welfare offices of Tehran province who were working in this organization in 1403. Sampling was carried out using the random method and the Klein rule (2011); 385 people were considered. The data collection tools were the psychological well-being questionnaires of Riff (1989), job satisfaction of Weiss et al. (1967), basic psychological needs of Garcia et al. (2000), and organizational resilience of Koner and Davidson (2003). SPSS 26 and PLS software were used to analyze and analyze the data according to the data distribution. Findings: The results showed that organizational resilience has a mediating role in the relationship between basic needs satisfaction and psychological well-being and job satisfaction and psychological well-being. The value of the coefficient of determination of the model was 0.374, which indicates that 37.40 percent of the changes in psychological well-being from the total changes in the model can be predicted. Conclusion: As a result, it can be said that job satisfaction and basic needs satisfaction are able to predict psychological well-being through the mediation of organizational resilience. In order to improve psychological well-being, attention should be paid to independent changes in the present study.
