Investigating the effect of information technology on the job success of the employees of Bazargan Customs Department

Abstract :
Background and Purpose: The current research was conducted with the aim of investigating the impact of information technology on the career success of Bazargan General Customs Department employees. Methodology: This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive and survey in terms of data collection method. The statistical population of the present study consists of 215 employees of Bazargan General Customs Department, of which 136 people were selected by simple random sampling using Morgan's table. Mahmoudi's Information Technology Questionnaire (2013) and Herzberg's Standard Job Success Questionnaire (1997) were used. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by the validity of the content by the supervisors, advisors and several knowledgeable people, as well as confirmatory factor analysis and the reliability of the questionnaires using SPSS statistical software, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.931 for the employee job success questionnaire and 0.803 for information technology. Data analysis was done through structural equation model and through Smart pls software in two descriptive and inferential parts. Findings: The results showed that the personal, educational, technical, human and environmental dimensions of information technology have a positive and significant effect on the career success of the employees of the General Administration of Bazargan Customs. Conclusion: By using information technology as a powerful tool in the General Administration of Bazargan Customs, it can be used to improve the quality and efficiency of employees and the sense of job success of employees. As a result, improves the overall performance and increases the productivity of the organization's employees
