Abstract
The present study aimed to investigate the mediating effect of work alienation on the relationship between organizational injustice and social loafing. This study is applied in terms of its purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of its method and nature of implementation. The statistical population was all 87 employees of the Cultural and Student Affairs Office of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences, of which 75 people were selected as a statistical sample using the Cochran formula. The sampling method was simple random sampling. The information required in the theoretical part was collected through library studies and the data required to test the research hypotheses were collected through the distribution of the Sedaghatifard Work Alienation Questionnaire (2009), the Calcutta Organizational Justice Questionnaire (2001), and the George Social Loafing Questionnaire (1992). Face validity and confirmatory validity were used to assess the validity of the questionnaires, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used for the reliability of the questionnaires, which showed that the reliability of the questionnaires was confirmed. Cronbach's alpha values for social loafing, organizational injustice, and work alienation were calculated as 0.90, 0.80, and 0.82, respectively. In the present study, structural equation modeling and Amos 24 software were used to analyze the data obtained. The results of the study indicate that, according to the bootstrapping decision diagram, work alienation partially mediates the positive effect of organizational injustice on social loafing.
