Identifying the consequences of promoting digital capital in the country's higher education system: a qualitative analysis

Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to identify the consequences of promoting digital capital in the country's higher education system. The main determination of qualitative method and descriptive phenomenological type with purposeful sampling and semi-structured interview tool was used to collect data. The participation of researchers and experts in the field of communication and university administrators formed a group of 14 people from technology after theoretical saturation, who were selected as a purposeful sampling. Data analysis was done using thematic analysis and descriptive-interpretive method. The results show that the development of digital capital in the higher education system has individual consequences (digital literacy, online data research, digital business, digital dependence), organizational (digital transformation, performance, becoming intelligent, productivity, job satisfaction) and It is social (digital citizen, digital gap reduction, social self-efficacy, digital economy). As they have digital investments, they can adapt to new technologies, even if they still need to acquire digital literacy. The sheer presence of digital capital determines how efficiently they achieve digital literacy.
