    Transactions on Fuzzy Sets and Systems (TFSS) is a semiannual international academic journal founded in 2022. TFSS is open access and free of charge and follows Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the highest ethical standards in accordance with ethical laws.  TFSS publishes original research articles,  review articles, etc., considering the research ethics and academic rules and regulations in theoretical and experimental studies in the field of fuzzy sets and systems, fuzzy programming, fuzzy optimization, fuzzy logic, fuzzy algebra, fuzzy mathematics, pure mathematics, control, robotics, data envelopment analysis, data mining, decision making, soft computing and uncertainty modeling, and other interdisciplinary topics related to fuzzy mathematics.

    TFSS aims to publish high-quality original articles that make a significant contribution to the research areas of both theoretical and applied mathematics in the field of fuzzy and all papers will be peer-review before publication. Manuscripts submitted to the TFSS must be original and unpublished work and not currently being considered for publication elsewhere. TFSS aims to reflect the latest developments in fuzzy sets and systems and promote international academic exchanges.

    As Islamic Azad University, Bandar Abbas Branch has supported all of the publishing costs of TFSS, article processing charge and any other publication fees in the journal are free for authors, so there is no article processing charges.

    The Policy of Screening for Plagiarism

    All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. Manuscripts submitted to the Transactions on Fuzzy Sets and Systems (TFSS) will be screened for plagiarism using Similarity Check /iThenticate plagiarism detection tools. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to do similarity checking before submitting their manuscript to the journal.

    Editors check the plagiarism detection of manuscripts in the Transactions on Fuzzy Sets and Systems (TFSS) by using Grammarly detection software (www.grammarly.com) and using iThenticate. The journal will immediately reject papers leading to plagiarism or self-plagiarism. Whenever it is determined that the manuscript has not complied with the plagiarism rules, the article is rejected (before accepting) and if it has been published (after accepting), it will be removed from the published list and placed in the Retraction list (returned articles because of Failure to observe plagiarism law).

    Transactions on Fuzzy Sets and Systems (TFSS) is an international scholarly, interdisciplinary, fully refereed, and semiannual free of charge journal, that publishes original research articles, in the field of fuzzy sets and systems, fuzzy programming, fuzzy optimization, fuzzy logic, fuzzy algebra, fuzzy mathematics, decision making, soft computing and uncertainty modeling, and other interdisciplinary topics related to Fuzzy mathematics. The journal aim is to publish high-quality original articles that make a significant contribution to the research areas of both theoretical and applied mathematics in the field of fuzzy.

    Authors retain unrestricted copyrights and publishing rights. The author has complete control over the work (e.g., retains the right to reuse, distribute, republish, etc.).


    Authorship 

    • Authors should make sure that:
    • The consent of all authors, as well as related authorities/institutions, has been received before the submission of the manuscript.
    • The order of the authors (as to be reflected on the published article) has been established.
    • The adding or deleting of authors once the manuscript has been accepted for publication, is not allowed.
    • All authors have contributed significantly to the research.
    • Authors are obligated to participate in the peer-review process, providing retractions/ corrections/ amendments when necessary.
    • All conflicts of interest/financial support have been declared.

    Transactions on Fuzzy Sets and Systems (TFSS) follows the policies and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and abides by its Code of Conduct in dealing with potential cases of misconduct.


    Open Access Statement

    Transactions on Fuzzy Sets and Systems (TFSS) is a fully open-access journal, which means that all articles are available on the Web to all users immediately upon publication. All content of the journal is published with open access under the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 International (CC-By 4.0). This license allows users to copy and redistribute the article under the following conditions:

    • Share— copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
    • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material.

    Benefits of open access for authors include:

    • Authors retain the copyright of their work.
    • Free access for all users worldwide.
    • Increased accessibility, visibility, and readership.
    • No spatial constraints.
    • Rapid publication.
    • No publication charges are required from the author(s).

    Confidentiality

    Manuscripts submitted to journals are privileged communications that are authors’ private, confidential property, and authors may be harmed by premature disclosure of any or all of a manuscript’s details.

    • Editors therefore must not share information about manuscripts, including whether they have been received and are under review, their content and status in the review process, criticism by reviewers, and their ultimate fate, to anyone other than the authors and reviewers. TFSS has some policies on confidentiality as follows.
    • Editors and the publication staff should keep all information about a submitted manuscript confidential, sharing it only with those involved in the evaluation, review, and publication processes.
    • Editors should consider adding a confidentiality notice to all correspondence, including reviewer forms, to serve as a reminder to authors, editors, and reviewers.
    • Journals should have a mechanism such as safely storing, archiving, and/or destroying paper and electronic manuscript review files and related content. Records and retention schedules, such as how long to keep published manuscripts and associated correspondence or rejected manuscripts and associated correspondence, should be documented in writing and reviewed regularly.
    • Confidential information should not be used for an editor’s purposes, and editors should take reasonable steps to ensure that such information is not used inappropriately for the advantage of others. In cases of breach of confidentiality by those involved in the peer-review process, editors should contact the involved parties and follow up on such cases until they are satisfactorily resolved.
    • Requests from third parties to use manuscripts and reviews for legal proceedings should be politely refused, and editors should do their best not to provide such confidential material should it be subpoenaed.
    • Editors should not publish or publicize peer reviewers’ comments without the permission of the reviewer and author.

    Confidentiality may have to be breached if dishonesty or fraud is alleged, but editors should notify authors or reviewers if they intend to do so and confidentiality must otherwise be honored.


    Self-Archiving Policy

    This policy sets out the ways in which the authors of TFSS can archive copies of their work on their own web pages, corporate web pages, and various other subject repositories. TFSS is an open access license, articles can be made available immediately according to the terms of their specific Creative Common license. If an author has published an article under an Open Access license, TFSS would encourage author to share the Version of Record on publication as opposed to the Accepted Manuscript. Authors may also reuse the Abstract and Citation information (e.g. Title, Author name, Publication dates) of their article anywhere at any time including social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, blogs and Twitter, providing that where possible a link is included back to the article on the TFSS site. Preferably the link should be, or include, the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) which can be found in the Citation information about the article online. The accepted version may be placed on: the author's personal website and/or the author's company/institutional repository or archive.
