In this paper, we present a recurrent neural network model for solving CCR Model in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The proposed neural network model is derived from an unconstrained minimization problem. In the theoretical aspect, it is shown that the proposed neural network is stable in the sense of Lyapunov and globally convergent to the optimal solution of CCR model. The proposed model has a single-layer structure. A numerical example shows that the proposed model is effective to solve CCR model in DEA. Manuscript profile

Optimization of noisy non-linear problems plays a key role in engineering and design problems. These optimization problems can't be solved effectively by using conventional optimization methods. However, metaheuristic algorithms such as Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) seem very efficient to approach in these problems and became very popular. The efficiency of these methods against many new metaheuristic optimization algorithms has been proved in previous works, however a robust comparison between GA and PSO to solve noisy nonlinear problems has not been reported yet. Therefore, in this paper GA and PSO are adapted to find optimal solutions of some noisy mathematical models. Based on the obtained results, GA shows a promising potential in terms of number of iteration to converge and solutions found so far for either for optimization of low or elevated levels of noise. In this paper, a nonlinear stiff differential equation is solved by using the Rosenbrock iterative method, modified homotpy analysis method and power series method. The approximate solution of this equation is calculated in the form of series which its components are computed by applying a recursive relations. Some numerical examples are studied to demonstrate the accuracy of the presented methods. Manuscript profile

In this paper, the wavelet method based on the Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind is introduced and used to solve systems of integral equations. Operational matrices of integration, product, and derivative are obtained for the second kind Chebyshev wavelets which will be used to convert the system of integral equations into a system of algebraic equations. Also, the error is analyzed and at the end, some examples are presented to demonstrate the efficiency and the validity of the proposed method. Manuscript profile

The development and management of an effective and efficient supply chain involve the selection of the suppliers. Only economic criteria, including cost and delivery, once used to be considered in the process of supplier selection. But, they do not suffice for the evaluation of suppliers anymore due to the rapidly changing environment, and different perspectives are needed to be considered. The present paper aims to present a hybrid method based on fuzzy data envelopment analysis for sustainable supplier selection. At first, the criteria for sustainable supplier selection are derived from the relevant literature. Then, the hierarchy of the criteria and their preferential interrelations are specified by analytic hierarchy process. Eventually, the performance of the suppliers is evaluated using fuzzy data envelopment analysis. The presented DEA model has been inspired by the concept of ideal and anti-ideal decision-making units (DMUs) in the evaluation of cross-efficiency. According to this concept, a DMU is efficient if it is close to the ideal DMU’s performance and far from the anti-ideal DMU’s performance. Manuscript profile

The theory of grey system is used when sufficient information of the community under study is not in hand. The grey forecast model is proper when the information variety is fix and certain. Grey model can apply some additional computations to improve forecasting activities when data is insufficient. Through using improved grey model, the assessment error decreases significantly. This study made use of the mean maximum daily temperature data collected by Qazvin meteorological station, from August 2001 to August 2013. The findings revealed that the grey model metabolism method can reduce errors and improve the precision of forecasting the mean variable of maximum daily temperature. Manuscript profile

In real investment, there is a relationship between external financing and abnormal stock returns. This study predicts a negative correlation between external financing and stock returns. The dependent variable of the research is stock returns and the independent variables are net financing and equity ratio. Also, control variables of the research includes assets growth, company’s size and company’s age. In this research, the hypotheses have been tested using the financial statements of 178 industrial companies accepted in Tehran Stock Exchange over the 2012-2016 period and also regression models with panel data. The results indicate a positive correlation between external financing, in both net and composition cases, with abnormal stock returns and also a negative correlation between external financing –again in both net and composition cases- with abnormal stock returns in the stock model. In addition, when we use net and composition financing simultaneously, there is not a significant relationship between net and composition finiancing and abnormal stock returns. Manuscript profile

This paper discusses an Interval Quadratic Programming (IQP) problem, where the constraints coefficients and the right-hand sides are represented by interval data. First, the focus is on a common method for solving Interval Linear Programming problem. Then the idea is extended to the IQP problem. Based on this method each IQP problem is reduced to two classical Quadratic Programming (QP) problems. Afterwards these classical problems are solved using the SQP algorithm and the numerical results are presented. Manuscript profile
