        Concrete is the most important material in geotechnical projects and constructions which that due to the cyclical loading and fatigues were always under failures. The fatigue is natural events were occurred in under cyclical loaded materials which causes very complex failures in under low stress and in elastic behavior. Although the concrete behavior and changes under axial loading are studied, but failure mechanism of fatigue and crack propagation on concrete (as the main factor to failure) is on obscurity. The investigation of crack propagation process from the beginning to failure under cyclic axial loading can be identified the fatigue mechanism. This study tired to monitoring and modeling the crack propagation mechanism under the cyclic uniaxial compressive strength (UCS ) in axial loading of concrete specimens which help to understands of crack propagation and developed path in the body. For this purpose, the concrete specimens are tested by UCS , take photos repetitively (in 5 loading-unloading cycles) and used the image-processing techniques (IPT) for crack detection, propagation and simulation of the failure in concrete. The simulation results shown the IPT is good performance to crack propagation detections and propagation process is perfectly simulated by IPT. پرونده مقاله

        The surface sediments in Mahshahr Port area are mainly consist of soft clayey soils. These soils have considerable strength in dray condition but as their moisture content moves up to saturated level a notable decrease in their strength is observed. This reduction, in turn, leads to decrease of California Bearing Ratio (CBR) and increase in soil settlement which consequently results in vast and destructive deformation in the surrounding buildings. In this research, the addition of cement and lime to the soil is considered to evaluate their effect of the soil strength by performing unconfined compressive (UCS) and Atterberg Limits tests. In this procedure, different ratios of lime and cement mixture (0.0 %, 2 %, 4 %, 6 %, 8 %, 10 %, and 15 %) with various curing times is considered. The results of these tests revealed that compressive strength of soft clay decreases by adding lime or cement due to disturbing its initial structure. This decrease of strength is induced by high sensitivity of the soil, however as the time passes compressive strength of the cement-added samples rapidly grows; as compressive strength in modified samples with 6 % cement and curing time of above 3 days has increased compared to undisturbed samples and their plasticity index has decreased. On the other hand, compressive strength of samples modified by lime gradually increased, as adding 6 % lime to the soil and applying curing time of 28 days did not lead to increase of their compressive strength compared to undisturbed soil samples and their plasticity index decreased. پرونده مقاله

        Water content is a very important part of concrete which has an important impact on strength of the concrete. The water condition in concrete is mostly located in drinking level which by shortcoming on the waters is required to reconsider the usage water in concrete. The presented study attempted to provide the experimental study on wastewater application for cement mixing in high-strength concrete. In this regard, the experimental assessment was conducted on 2 types of concrete mix named Mix 1 and Mix 2 (for 7 and 28 days) which is indicated of drinking water, and treated wastewater-based concrete. The main evaluation index is UCS which is performed on 10 samples. According to the results of the study, using treated wastewater provides the 12 to 18 MPa strength regarding UCS which is near to the freshwater (14 to 20 MPa). So, the application of treated wastewater can be considered as an alternative for fresh water in concrete. پرونده مقاله
