Intellectual capital, which has been described as intangible assets, may be used as a source of sustainable competitive advantage. However, intellectual capital components have to interact to create value. The purpose of this empirical study is to investigate the situation of three elements of intellectual capital, i.e. human capital, structural capital, and customer capital, and their inter-relationships in the banking industry of Iran. The study was conducted by using a psychometrically validated questionnaire which was originally administrated in Canada. To explore the constructs and to develop the items, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Linear Structural Relations (LISREL) were used. The final specified model demonstrates a meaningful inter-relationship among the elements of intellectual capital. According to the study's findings, in the Iranian banking industry human capital has positive effects on structural capital as well as customer capital. On the other hand, structural capital causes the increase in the growth and strength of customer capital.  Manuscript profile

This Paper deals with calculating the minimal and maximal shares of individuals or organizations based on different criteria. Suppose that players are selfish and the score for each criterion for a player is an interval. Each player makes any possible effort to bring about his or her ideal condition. In this paper a new scheme to calculate the minimal    cost - benefit ratio for interval data is offered. A player who has minimal cost - benefit ratio is the successful player in obtaining favorite cost and benefits. In this scheme also new models have been proposed to avoid zero weight occurrence.  Manuscript profile

Trade integration with global economy could be evaluated by some well-known trade specialization indicators such as trade dissimilarity, the export centralization, and the inter-industry specialization. Trade specialization pattern has important implications for export productivity. In order to recognize the trade pattern of the members of OPEC, this paper calculates and analyses the patterns of trade specialization and export productivity profiles in these countries, over the period of 1995-2006. The findings indicate that, in spite of trade integration with global economy in OPEC members, these countries have mostly concentrated on the export of less productive product categories.
