This study was conducted with the aim of Comparison of school anxiety and its components on the fourth-grade students of elementary schools in both traditional and descriptive evaluation systems. For this purpose, 400 students (boy & girl) have been selected. 200 of them received descriptive evaluation and the other 200 received traditional evaluation. They were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method. The Philips school anxiety questionnaire was used in order to compare the school anxiety. The collected information was analyzed in descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that there were no differences in school anxiety and its components between the two mentioned groups (p > 0.05). There was a difference between girls and boys in the test of anxiety and the girls showed more anxiety (p < 0.05). There was a difference between both of descriptive and traditional evaluation systems among the boy students in the test (p = 0.01) and school anxiety (p < 0.05). The students who received traditional evaluation showed more anxiety. There was a difference between boy and girl students in descriptive evaluation in the test of anxiety and the girls showed more anxiety (p < 0.01). Considering the Aran and Biddgol elementary schools, this study is conducted with the aim of recognizing the teachers’ awareness about the concept of descriptive- quantitative feedback and, hence, applying that in the classroom .The method of study is of qualitative and phenomenological one. Semi-structural interview, observation, and content analysis were the tools by means of which data were collected. Considering the phenomenological method, Thirty two teachers, for the interview, and ten classrooms, for the observation, were selected. Based on the 100 samples of the teachersʹ writing feedbacks, as the third angle of this triangle, the researchers did content analysis. The findings showed that majority of the intended teachers (66%) were fully aware of the concept of the feedback and a few of them (18%)did not understand this concept perfectly and a limited number of them (16%) had no idea about what and how the concept of feedback was. The findings show that different sorts of feedback had been used by the teachers as: emotional, individual-speaking, group- speaking, and writing feedbacks. The content analysis of writing feedbacks, also, showed that the teachers mainly used the quantitative, descriptive, and encouraging feedbacks. Manuscript profile

Teachers are considered as the most effective human resources and forces of the Education Organization in the implementation of the aimed changes. Analyzing the teachers’ lived experiences from the recent changes created in the evaluation system of the educational achievements in the primary schools has provided a proper background to promote the evaluation system of the educational achievements. This study aims at exploring and analyzing the teachers' reactions to the changes created in the evaluation system of the educational achievements in the primary schools. The present study has been conducted on the basics and principles of the qualitative approach of the interpretive phenomenology, with the participation of 14 male and female teachers teaching in the district two in Tehran based on the purposeful sampling and through using the semi-structured interviews and was finally analyzed based on the method of Diekelman et al. (1989). The results showed that teachers generally have no positive attitude towards the nature of the descriptive evaluation. From the teachers’ point of view, the changes in the evaluation system has created a situation in which the education system has employed a demanding and increasing expectations on the teachers leading to the formation of the negative opinions towards the teachers in the society. Teachers' perceptions and reactions to these changes in the evaluation system has been summarized in three main theme: "professional competencies", "problems in the education system” and "expectations of the education system" and also in nine sub theme. It seems that the focus and interest in making changes, regardless of the conditions of change, and especially the appropriateness of change with organizational maturity, have brought various and varied challenges to the educational system and its continuity can have devastating effects on all components of the educational system. The purpose of this article is responding to the question of “How is the quality of teacher feedback, studentsʼ self-evaluation and peer evaluation?” The research method is a combination of "documentary, descriptive and survey”. The sample was selected through a multi-stage stratified sampling, out of which 64 primary schools, located in 30 local educational districts in 3 provinces (East Azerbaijan, Fars and Bushehr) were selected. One checklist to analyze the portfolios and one interview form with acceptable reliability and validity were used. The findings show that teacher’ feedbacks are beyond the student’s performance, the content of the feedback is not related to the learning goals and objectives, and the descriptions are not appealing enough and do not fit the studentsʼ level of progress. Although the feedback did not contain anything with regard to providing a chance for the students to compersate for their weaknesses, they were polite to some extent. In self evaluation, students did not have the necessary skills. Weakness in four self-evaluation skills in the lower grades was more evident. Teachers use limited methods for peer-assessment and are less familiar with the concepts and methods of peer-asssessent Manuscript profile

The statistical population for this study consisted of all students in the first and second grades who enjoyed descriptive evaluation scheme of the education administration in the East Azarbaijan Province. The statistical sample were selected through cluster sampling including, 1400 students and 56 classes that were selected from eight cities (Tabriz, Myane, Ahar, Marand, Hashtrod, Ajabshir, Kalaybar, Heris and Maraghe). The collected data where analysed using descriptive statistics (Mean, standard deviation & frequency) and One-sample t test. The results suggest that the means of the variables of teaching - learning, providing descriptive feedback, elimination of the 20 oriented criteria, eliminating final exams and substituting formative evaluation, eliminating paper-based test and replacing them with portfolio, and mental health are significantly higher than the theoretical mean of the population, and that descriptive evaluation objectives have been achieved to a relatively desired extent Manuscript profile
