Comparing the effectiveness of both new and old methods of academic evaluation in attitude of primary school pupils

Abstract :
Background: Creativity is a mental but unique process. Creativity is a mental and physical ability or capacity to make or reconstruct of reality in a certain way. Purpose: The main aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of both new and old methods of academic evaluation in attitude of primary school pupils regarding creativity and academic achievement. Method(s): The research method is causal-comparative or ex-post facto. The population comprised all girls' and boys' pupils of primary schools in Eslam Shahr town. In this study, purposive sampling was used, through which two old school methods were used to evaluate the school and two new evaluation methods used were chosen as examples. Result(s): The main result revealed that except for the interaction of the variables of gender, grade and group (new assessment against old methods), the significant difference was the attitude of pupils to creativity. Conclusion: New evaluation methods (descriptive), failed to achieve the intended use of which results have been achieved based on this study results.
