The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of anger management skills training on social anxiety and anger self-regulation skills in social anxious boys of Dareh Shahr city. The design of this study was quasi- experimental with pretest-posttest and control group. The population was all 527 first and second year high school boys in the city in 2010-2011 (1389-90s.c.) academic year. This study was conducted on 32 students who scored high on Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN). The sample was selected through purposeful sampling and then they were randomly divid ed into two experimental and control groups (16 persons, each). The Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN) ( Connor et al., 2000), and State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory-2 (STAXI - 2) (Spilberger, 1999) were administered at the pretest and post-test stage to all participations. The anger management program including ten sessions of 90 minutes on a weekly basis was delivered to the experimental group. Both questionnaires were administered again at the post test stage. Data were analyzed by using analysis of covariance. According to the results, social anxiety in the experimental group, decreased significantly whereas anger self-regulation skills increased significantly (P < 0.05). Also, the results showed that anger management training increases anger self-regulation skills but decreases social anxiety in adolescents. Manuscript profile

Anger is one of human emotions which has its own benefits,. Despite its benefits, it can result in personal and social damages, tensions, disputes and other crimes if it doesn't get controlled or managed. Therefore, it is necessary to devise ways to prevent these situations. Humans have three conceptual layers including intuition, attitudes and behaviors. Due to the expansive nature of this subject, present study is just focused on the behavioral skills of anger management by drawing on descriptive-analytical methods. To do so, by relaying on Holly Qoran, Ahl-olbayt (peace be upon them) morals and psychological literature as secondary sources, suitable skills and methods for managing anger can be drawn out. These methods can be devided to two parts. The first part consists of behavioral controls like exercising, piety, changing bodily dispositions; the secod part consists of spiritual controls like preforming ablution, having a healthy diet and etc. Understanding these methods and skills is the focus of this study Manuscript profile

The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of anger management training based on cognitive reconstruction on mental fatigue, perceived stress and emotion regulation of nurses at Shafai Hospital in Urmia. The statistical population of the research is made up of the College of Nurses of Shafai Hospital in Urmia, from which 30 people were selected by a purposeful method and were randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group. The selection of the sample size was done with the help of Cohen's table and based on the power of the test. The design of this research is semi-experimental, with pre-test, post-test and control group. The educational packages include anger management techniques based on cognitive reconstruction, and Yoder's psychological fatigue questionnaire (2010), Watson, Clarke and Telgen's (1988) excitement questionnaire, and Cohen et al.'s (1983) perceived stress scale were used to measure the research variables. The implementation method was in the order that first the subjects were selected by the screening method and were replaced in two experimental and control groups. Before the implementation of the intervention in each group, three questionnaires were administered as a pre-test on the participants of all groups. After that, anger management techniques based on cognitive reconstruction were taught in the experimental group, and finally, the same questionnaires were administered again as a post-test on the participants of both experimental groups. To analyze the data, multivariate analysis of covariance was used in SPSS22 software. According to the findings of the research, the modified mean of the anger management experimental group in perceived stress, mental fatigue and emotion regulation is 30.46, 6.87, 65.88 respectively, and the mean of the control group in these variables is 35.86 respectively. 11/05 and 59/37. The average difference between these two groups in the post-test of the dependent variables of the research is significant at the level of 0.01. Therefore, it can be said that the average of the anger management experimental group is significantly lower than the average of the control group in perceived stress and mental fatigue and higher than the control group in emotion regulation. According to these findings, the research hypothesis is confirmed and it can be said that anger management training based on cognitive restructuring has an effect on perceived stress and mental fatigue and increasing emotion regulation. This study intended to compare the effectiveness of group training of anger management based on cognitive reconstructing and mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) on mental fatigue, perceived stress, and emotion regulation in nurses. The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-, and post-test design and a control group, statistical population included all the nurses of Shafa hospital in Urmia (n=85), among them 45 people were selected through on-hand method and were randomly assigned in two experimental and one control groups (each group 15 people). The research instruments included mental fatigue scale (Feron & Tidel), perceived stress scale (Cohen), and emotions questionnaire (Watson) and anger management based on cognitive reconstructing and MBSR packages. Data analysis was done by one-way analysis of covariance with SPSS software. The findings indicated that MBSR was more effective than anger management based on cognitive reconstructing regarding decreased perceived stress. No significant difference was observed regarding the effectiveness of two methods on both variables of mental fatigue and emotion regulation (in sig level of 0.05). In conclusion, participating in anger management training sessions based on cognitive restructuring and MBSR makes nurses familiar with their feelings, emotions and thoughts and can control their negative emotions, thereby experiencing lower levels of perceived stress and mental fatigue. This study aimed to develop and test the effectiveness of school-based social cognition instructional package on reducing proactive aggression among children Aged 8-12 by applying social information processing theory (SIP). In this semi-experimental study with pretest-posttest design and control group in company with follow up stage, 34 students in experimental (17 students) and control (17 students) groups responded to the Children’s Inventory of Anger (Nelson & Finch, 2000), and the Adjustment Inventory for School Students (Sinha & Singh, 1993). The experimental group received 10 school-based social cognition instructional package sessions (2 hours a session). The results of the statistical procedures of multivariate and univariate covariance analysis indicated that school-based social cognition instructional package was effective in increasing social/emotional/academic adjustment and in decreasing different dimensions of children's anger consisted of frustration, physical aggression, peer relations authority relations in short term and long term. These findings suggest that school-based social cognition instructional package by reducing or eliminating interpersonal stressors, tolerating or adjusting to negative events or realities in interpersonal situations, maintaining a positive self-image, maintaining emotional equilibrium and, continuing satisfying relationships with others could result in mental immunization in students. Pathological strain which causes post-traumatic stress disorder is much too fragile. This pressure can be derived from the experiences of war, torture, natural disasters, assault, rape and serious injuries. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of anger control training in increasing social adjustment and improvement of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms. In an experimental study of the post-test and pre-test with the control group, 40 combat veterans with PTSD in Ardabil were selected from available samples, they were assigned to two groups of experiment and control, randomly. Subjects were tested in terms of post-traumatic stress disorder and adjustment rate, at the beginning and end of the study. The experimental group received anger control training in seven sessions with duration of 90 minutes. The control group did not undergo any intervention. (MANOVA) Multivariate variance analysis indicated that anger control training, in addition to reducing PTSD symptoms, was also effective in increasing social adjustment and improving symptoms of individuals with PTSD disorder. It seems that the inability to manage anger is effective in increasing adjustability and reducing symptoms of aggression. This method produces beneficial result in psychological interventions of sufferers Manuscript profile
