The purpose of the present study is to compare the effect of positive psychology and young adult-oriented mindfulness on anxiety management among basketball players with disabilities who were sent to the national games in Tabriz (2021-2022). The research method was semi-experimental (pre-test & post-test) conducted by an experimental and control group. 45 teenaged boy basketball players were chosen by convenience sampling and then they were randomly divided into 2 experimental and 1 control groups. Positive psychology was taught to the first group (11 sessions for 1 hour; twice a week) and young-adult mindfulness was taught to the second group (8 sessions for 90 minutes; once a week) while the control group received no education. All the participants filled out Beck Anxiety Inventory (1990) before and after the education. For data analysis, univariate analysis of variance was used and the results showed that anxiety average score of the disabled boy basketball players in the positive psychology group significantly decreased compared to the young-adult mindfulness group and the post-test anxiety score of young adult-oriented mindfulness group significantly decreased compared to the control group.  Moreover, the results revealed that teaching positive psychology is more effective than teaching young adult-oriented mindfulness to control anxiety of the teenaged boy basketball players with disabilities. Adults of many parasitoid insects need carbohydrates as a source of energy. Carbohydrate feeding increases the longevity, fertility and parasitism rate, significantly. In this study, the effect of different concentrations (0, 10, 30, 50, and 70 percent) of three sugars in the absence of the Mediterranean flour moth larvae was evaluated on the male and female adults of the parasitoid wasp, Habrobracon hebetor Say (Hym.; Braconidae), under laboratory conditions (25±2ºC; 60±5% R.H., L14:D10). Based on the obtained results and compare to the control (distilled water), sugar feeding treatments were significantly increased the male and female adult longevity of the parasitoid wasp. In the case of glucose, male and female adults mean longevity was significantly lower than those of two other sugars. Thus, the suitability of sugars was ordered as fructose> sucrose> glucose. For males, the optimum concentration of all three sugars was 50 percent, but for females, the optimum concentrations were 30 percent of fructose, 50 percent of sucrose, and 70 percent of glucose, respectively. Furthermore, the response of adult longevity to different concentrations of fructose had a more stable trend comparing the two other sugars. Orthogonal comparison of adult males' longevity versus females showed that no significant difference between the overall means of males and females longevity was observed. It means that both sexes had the same longevity. Based on the overall ANOVA results, sugar concentrations affected the male longevity more than that of females. These differences attributed to differential nutritional requirements and behaviors of males and females. The above-mentioned results indicate the importance of sugar feeding by adult H. hebetor. Data collected from 10 studies conducted from 2001-2011, included 5028 participants and was analyzed using binomial effect size display and inverse variance for fixed effect model (Wolf, 1986; Hooman, 2008). Findings revealed that the mixed model of the effect was 0.029, which was reduced to 0.028 by omitting two of the research studies. The general prevalence of ADHD after eliminating two of the studies and using sensitivity analysis was 6.76%. The prevalence rate of ADHD in males and females after excluding one of the research studies and using sensitivity analysis were 3.94% and 1.93%, respectively. Further meta-analysis showed that the prevalence of attention deficit, hyperactivity – impulsivity and combined types of ADHD were 4.72%, 3.54% and 3.84%, respectively. Problems related to Attention-deficit/ hyperactivity in adults doesn't reveal itself due to graduating school or college and choosing a job that doesn't need long term or precise focus and because of this people have fewer complaints in this regard. But it doesn't mean that their Attention-deficit/ hyperactivity symptoms improved. Because if they were in a situation requiring long term or precise focus they will have difficulties, and at the same time, they may experience a variety of mental and behavioral problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between distress tolerance, mind wandering, sleep quality and quantity with Attention-deficit/ hyperactivity symptom severity in adults. Samples of this study included 90 adults with Attention-deficit/ hyperactivity symptoms that were chosen by Convenience Sampling and evaluated for mind wandering, distress tolerance and sleep quality and quantity. Analyzing multiple regressions results showed that Attention-deficit/ hyperactivity symptom severity was positively correlated with mind wandering and had negative correlations with Distress Tolerance and sleep quality and quantity, regression analysis showed that mind wandering predicts overall 42% of  adults Attention-deficit/ hyperactivity symptom severity and distress tolerance and sleep quality and quantity also predicted 35% and 15% of Attention-deficit/ hyperactivity symptom severity in adults. Results indicate that we can predict ADHD symptom severity by measuring mind wandering, distress tolerance and sleep quality and quantity. Manuscript profile
