          The present research was carried out to study the diligence of non-runaway girls in the usage of coping strategies. The type of the research is post hoc. 37 runaway girls, who were incarcerated and kept by relevant organizations, were selected via convenience sampling. Considering the mean age of the runaway girls, 37 single females residing in middle to low socioeconomic neighborhoods in Shiraz, were selected as the control group. The Coping Strategies Questionnaire (Kaver et al., 1989), Occupational Prestige Scale along with a number demographic questions was administered on the participants. The data were analyzed by applying Covariance statistical method. Results showed that there were significant differences between runaway and non - runaway girls in problem- and emotion- oriented coping strategies (P < 0.0001). It means that the runaway girls compared with the non-runaway girls, were using less problem- and emotion- oriented coping strategies in facing with stress. Manuscript profile

        Runaway from home is a great problem affecting all societies. It is not a crime and occurs in all societies and at all times. Runaway from home is a socio-familial personal problem threatening the health of the family and society. In any case; researches showed that material and cultural poverty, unemployed parents, lack of insight and ignorance of proper fostering on the part of parents on one hand, and the personality traits of the runaway girls who happen to be more extroverted, more adventuresome and more monotony-repulsive than ordinary girls, on the other hand, put them to trouble. This study was a survey of personality dimensions and family structure of runaway girls and the separation from or lack of family consequences was studied and guidelines to prevent such a phenomenon were suggested.         The current research was intended to examine the relationship of self-efficacy, social desirability and social anxiety in Abadan Islamic Azad University female students. The sample included 100female students, who were selected randomly via multi-stage sampling method. For collecting data three scales (questionnaires) were used: General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSE), Marlowe &ndash; Crowne Social Desirability Scale and Social Anxiety Scale (SAD, FNE).The analysis of data based on the Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression statistical methods revealed that social anxiety significantly correlated to self-efficacy and social desirability.The results also indicated that the self-efficacy rather than social desirability was a significant predictor for social anxiety(the criterion variable).         The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of loneliness and psychological distress in predicting self-harm behaviors in adolescent girls with a history of running away from home. This research was a descriptive and correlational type of research. The statistical population of the current research was girls who referred to the social emergency of Isfahan city in the first half of 2023, and 92 people were selected by purposive sampling. The research tools include the self-harm questionnaire (Sanson, Yederman and Sanso, 1998), the emotional social loneliness questionnaire for adults (DiTomaso, Brannen and Best, 2004) which includes 3 subscales (family loneliness, romantic loneliness, social loneliness), psychological distress questionnaire. Psychological (Laviband and Laviband, 1995) which included 3 subscales (anxiety, depression, stress). In order to analyze the data, Pearson's correlation test and simultaneous regression were used. In this study, the average age of the participants was 15.95 and the standard deviation was 1.4. The findings showed that the feeling of loneliness and psychological distress has a positive and significant relationship with self-harm behaviors (P<0.05). The results showed that Mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, and stress, which are now very common, cause self-harm and self-harm behaviors in teenagers, and on the other hand, feelings of loneliness, especially family and social loneliness, can lead to self-harming behaviors in teenagers. So that teenagers feel calm after self-injury. Manuscript profile

        Increase of runaway incidence among girls needs to scientific investigation with regards to an interventional approach for etiology and treatment of this phenomenon in the country. This study is purposed to examine the efficacy of psychosocial skills training on improvement of social intimacy and decline of loneliness among refereed runaway girls to guidance centers of welfare organization in Isfahan province. This is a quasi-experimental design with two experimental and control groups and pre and post test assessment. Sample included 40 runway girls with a purposive sampling method which recruited in experimental and control groups randomly. The Psychological Rehabilitation Training Package, the Social Intimacy Inventory (SSI; Aghamohammadi, et al., 2011) and the Loneliness Questionnaire (UCLQ; Russell, Peplau &amp; Ferguson, 1978) were used in the present study. The results of covariate analysis showed that training of psychosocial skills significantly improved social intimacy and decline of loneliness among of runaway girls during pre test of in comparison to their performance on post test. Findings showed that psychosocial skills training with seven dimensions during thirteen sessions have significant effect on improvement of social intimacy and decline of loneliness among runaway girls in the experimental group. Teaching of psycho-social training special for runaway girls can improve social intimacy and decrease loneliness in them (p&lt;0/001). Manuscript profile
