The aim of this study was to examine the structural relationship of school bonding and academic procrastination with the mediating role of the self-efficacy in students. The participants included 183 fourth, fifth and sixth grad elementary school male and female students that were chose by multistage cluster sampling method. Academic Procrastination Scale, (Savari 1390) with, School Bonding Scale (Rezaisharif and collogue, 1394) and Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (Morgan-Jinks, 1999 were administered). Structural equation modeling (SEM) and Bootstrap tests were conducted to explore direct and indirect pathways of study’s model respectively. Results showed that school bonding with academic procrastination and self-efficacy have direct and significant relationship (P<0.001). School bonding and academic procrastination are antecedents and consequences of self-efficacy in students respectively (P<0.001). The results indicated that self-efficacy has a significant mediating role on the relationship between school bonding and academic procrastination (p<0.05). The findings of this study could help school counselors, education psychologist, and teachers to reduce student’s procrastination problems. Manuscript profile

Using instructional games in vocabulary learning is beneficial, but their effects in the Iraqi EFL context have been overlooked. This study investigated the effects of instructional games on Iraqi primary school students’ vocabulary learning and retention. To fulfill the objectives of the study, a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design was adopted. The present study's participants were 40 Iraqi primary school students selected based on a convenience sampling. The participants were divided into two groups, one experimental (N= 20) and a control group (N=20). The students in the experimental group (EG) received vocabulary instruction in the form of game-based teaching. The control group (CG) was instructed using conventional teaching procedures. In this study, a textbook (Family and Friends 2) was used as the material, and two tests were utilized as the measurement instruments. It was found that the group of Iraqi primary school students who were instructed through the games considerably outperformed the group of students who received the traditional teaching in the classroom. Furthermore, the results revealed that the Iraqi primary school students who received vocabulary through instructional games had much better vocabulary retention than those who underwent the traditional teaching methods. The findings might have some implications for the material developers and EFL teachers in Iraq. Manuscript profile

The purpose of this research was to recognize the role of making smart schools in the quality of students’ learning from primary school teachers’ viewpoints in Neka. The research was carried out by a survey. The population of the study was all primary school teachers of Neka (2014-2015), Consist of 293 teachers that 165 teachers were selected by random sampling. Based on Krejcie & Morgan’s table (1970). The instrument was made by the researcher in five dimensions. The instrument was validated by some professors and scholars’ attitudes. The reliability of it was calculated by Cronbach’s alpha (0.894). The finding of this research revealed that making smart schools had a significant role in the quality of learning dimensions (attitudes, mental habits, knowledge expansion, acquisition and knowledge twisting and meaningful use of knowledge). There was a difference between teachers’ opinion mean. There was also a significant difference between learning dimensions scores. The mean of meaningful use of knowledge (39.4) was in the first place, and the mean of mental habits (93.2) came last. Manuscript profile

Qualitative descriptive evaluation is one of Education Ministry programs that implement in order to improve the evaluation manner of educational system. The study conducted to investigate the effectiveness of implementing qualitative descriptive evaluation on student’s anxiety and self-confidence in Ardabil Province on the 88-89. Research method was Causal-comparative. Population were three and four grade primary students of qualitative descriptive evaluation schools that include 508 students. All of these school students were selected as a sample and students in school of traditional evaluation were selected in purposefully way. One school of traditional evaluation were selected against one school of descriptive evaluation. Descriptive schools students sample were 508 people and traditional school students were 491 people. Required data of students were collected through self confidence and anxiety questionnaires, their reliability by alpha cronbach were 0.73 and 0.85. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS software. The results showed that the qualitative descriptive evaluation have more effect on students self-confidence and reducing anxiety than traditional evaluation. According to the results of this research implementing qualitative descriptive evaluation with fixes some shortcomings recommended. Manuscript profile

Background and Purpose: The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Maghz e bartar package intervention on Concentration, memory, and creativity in primary school students in Isfahan city. Methods: The method of the present study was Quasi-experimental with pre-test, post-test design and one-month follow-up with the control group. The statistical population of the study included all students in the fifth grade in 1397-1397 That Among them, 30 people were divided into experimental and control groups as a statistical sample by available sampling method and random assignment. For the experimental group, the content of the Maghz e bartar package (agha panah, 1388) was trained whit active methods during 12 sessions of 60 minutes. Data collection tools were creativity questionnaire (Abedi, 1372), Wechsler memory test (Shahim, 1373) and Concentration Skill Questionnaire(Savary and Oraki, 1394). Data were analyzed using repeated measures analysis of variance using SPSS software version 24. Results: The results indicated that Maghz e bartar package training had a significant effect on increasing participants' Concentration and creativity in post-test and follow-up stages (p < 0.05). The effect of the intervention was not observed on memory performance scores. Conclusion: This study showed that the training of the Maghz e bartar package using fast mathematical calculation techniques In a mental way , memory enhancement techniques and using special planning has caused students to use both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously and has increased their concentration and creativity. Therefore, To facilitate learning this method can be used as a new approach with relatively lasting effects to increase the concentration and creativity of primary school students . In order to determine the prevalence of reading and writing disabilities among primary school students , 3282 students in third-, fourth-, and fifth- grade were selected from seven educational districts of Qom State by stratified sampling. First, teachers completed the Learning Disabilities Symptoms Checklist (Fawcett, & Lowe, 1995). Then those who met more than three symptoms, completed a researcher-devised Reading and Writing Test. The students who obtained scores lower than the criterion score administered the Raven Progressive Matrics (Raven, 1956). Finally, 3120 students without mental, visual, auditory, and motor deficiencies consisted the research sample. The findings indicated that (1) the prevalence of reading and writing disabilities were 1.55% and 1.34% respectively, (2) no significant difference was found between the males and the females, (3) the prevalence of reading disability was significantly different among third-, fourth-, and fifth- grade, and (4) the prevalence of reading and writing disabilities were significantly different among seven districts of Qom. Given the research findings, there are considerable number of students with reading and writing disabilities, which suggest that preventive and remedial actions are needed.     Manuscript profile
