The effects of light (absolute darkness and light) and temperature (20, 25 and 30◦C) on growth of C. maculatus were investigated. The experiment was conducted in 6 treatments using a factorial completely randomized design. The results showed that females under the conditions of 30ºC and complete darkness, the life stages of the pest passed in 40 days and under the conditions of 20ºC and complete light, the life stages passed in 86 days. The pre-adult period of females was 78.09 days under 20ºC and complete light, but it was 22 days in 30ºC and compelet darkness. Manuscript profile -

A CRD design in factorial method including the four photoperiod regimes and two foods, with three repeats and ten fish was used in this experiment. Results showed that fish which fed by both French and Iranian foods grew best and reached to smolt stage faster in (16L:8D) photoperiod. Although, the higher weight (11.03±0.06g) and length (4.64±0.28 cm) gain were observed in fish which fed by French food, but they did not significantly differ from the fish which fed by Iranian food (P>0.05). Condition factor (CF) was lower in the 16L:8D photoperiod than other treatments in both groups of fish without significant difference (0.84±0.06, 0.89±0.01%). Also, the lower feed conversion rates (FCR) was measured in (16L:8D) in French food which was significantly different from Iranian food. The higher amount of growth hormone was recorded at 17 January and the Na+, K+-ATPase activity was higher at 20 April without significant differences between two groups of fish. Also, the higher amount of growth hormone and ATPase activity were recorded in (16L:8D) without significant differences between two groups of fish. Our finding indicated that both French and Iranian foods can be recommended in the production of off-season Caspian brown trout smolts in the (16L:8D) photoperiod. Manuscript profile -

After soil collection and culture, sample were isolated, purified, and incubated under 2μEm-2s-1 continuous irradiance with no carbon dioxide addition. The photoperiods were 2, 4, 6, 8 hours darkness each day. Survival, growth and heterocyst frequencies were studied in each treatment using optical density and chlorophyll measurements. Results showed that this cyanobacterium can survive under relatively short times of darkness (2 and possibly 4hours). The highest specific growth rate was related to 2hours dankness daily. 6 and 8hours darknesses cause relative similar results. 8hours darkness daily showed the highest degree of stress and cause sharp drop in growth. Chlorophyll production and morphological behaviors of aggregations showed unpredictable irregular fluctuations independent of photoperiods. We saw highest amount of heterocyst frequency and better regular patterns of heterocyst production at continuous irradiance but correlation between growth and heterocyst production differ completely at this condition. The species Sargassum boveanum is an edible algae and study of effect of environmental factors on its growth is a step towards is culture. Therefore, growth of Sargassum boveanum under various temperature, irradiance and photoperiod was studied over 6 weeks under laboratory condition. The macroalgae was collected from coasts of Lengeh in June 2011. For each treatment, the algae were inoculated into 20 liters of water aquariums with diameters of 60×30×40 cm. The suspension method used for culture of algae. .The culture conducted at 4700 lux for irradiance, 25Co for temperature ,35PPT for salinity and 12:12 hour (light: dark) photoperiod. The treatments were: temperature (15, 20 and 25oC), photoperiod (12:12, 14:10 and 16:8, light: dark, respectively) and photon irradiances (4700, 5700, 6700 lux). All treatments (tanks) were carried out in triplicates. The length and weight of the thalli were measured on 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 days. The results of this study showed significant differences on growth of S. boveanum between treatments. Maximum relative growth rate was obtained at 12:12 hour photoperiod (% 4/32), 25Co (% 2.68) and 4700 lux (% 4.32) that proved to be suitable for indoor culture. We recommend spring as the best season for mariculture this alga. Manuscript profile -

An important parameters on phenology can be suggest temperature and photoperiod. This study was conducted with 12 sowing dates to quantify response of jointing rate (JOR) to temperature and photoperiod in wheat cultivars. The regression models fitted to JOR against temperature were beta, dent-like and segmented function. Meanwhile, quadratic, negative exponential and segmented models fitted to JOR against photoperiod (these models were used as 9 combined models to describe JOR as a function of photothermal day). The results showed that beta- quaradic function was the best model to describe JOR as a function of both temperature and photoperiod. Using this function, the base, optimum and ceiling temperatures were estimated 4.5, 27.3 and 40 ₒC respectively. Critical photoperiod and photoperiod sensitivity coefficient were estimated 20.02 to 22.69 hour and 0.0109 to 0.0475 respectively. Also biological day for cultivars between emergence to jointing with the beta- quaratic function examin between 25.2 to 31.9 days. The results of this study can be used in crop simulation models.
