One t MoreIonic liquids are nonvolatile, non-toxic and non-flammable liquids with high thermal and chemical stability. Therefore they are suggested as a solvent in absorption refrigeration cycle. For modeling of cycle operating should be specified thermodynamics properties. One thermodynamics model is used for one effect absorption refrigeration cycle. Thermodynamics properties of refrigerant-solvent mixture are modeled by equation of state. [hmim][Tf2N], [emim][Tf2N] and [hmim][BF4] are used as solvents and R134a is used as a refrigerant. Results compare with other common refrigerant-solvents. Coefficient of performance of these systems are lower than common cycle like LiBr-water and water-NH3 but specific properties of ionic liquids such as nonvolatile, non corrosive, non-flammable and eco-friendly, cause very research perform to get proper refrigerant and ionic liquid as a solvent Manuscript profile -

An 8-μL drop of ionic liquid, 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate, [C6MIM][PF6], was used for the extraction of silver and copper ions as dithizone complex. Important variables affecting microextraction efficiency and ETAAS signal, such as pyrolysis and atomization temperature, dithizone concentration, extraction time, drop volume and stirring rate were investigated and optimized. Under the optimum experimental conditions, the detection limits (3 s) of the method were 4 and 8 ng L-1, for Ag and Cu, respectively and corresponding relative standard deviations (0.1 μg L-1, n = 6) were 4.2% and 4.8%. The developed method was successfully applied to the determination of copper and silver in food and water samples. Manuscript profile -

16 - Determination of trace amount of Atrazine in aqueous samples by in situ solvent formation microextraction method using green solvents (ionic liquids) and high performance liquid chromatography
Mehdi Hosseini Mahdieh Chegeni vahid azizkhaniA rapid, precise and sensitive method derivate from homogeneous liquid-liquid microextraction method namely in situ solvent formation microextraction using ionic liquids as green solvent and extractant phase to the analysis of trace amount of Atrazine in real water samp MoreA rapid, precise and sensitive method derivate from homogeneous liquid-liquid microextraction method namely in situ solvent formation microextraction using ionic liquids as green solvent and extractant phase to the analysis of trace amount of Atrazine in real water samples has been used. Here, the extractant phase, is a solvent from ionic liquids family namely 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride [Emim][Cl] that is miscible in water and after interaction with analyte and adding of counter ion of Hexafluorophosphate [PF6-], convert to the immiscible ionic liquid of 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate [Emim][PF6]. Initially and during extraction of analyte from aqueous phase, because to absence any common boundary between aqueous and organic phase, the extraction efficiency will be maximum. After extraction process, to separation of two phases apart and determination amount of extracted analyte, due to formation of immiscible ionic liquid in water, separation of phases it become possible. Effect of different analytical parameters on extraction efficiency such as sample solution pH containing analyte, ionic liquid amount, extraction time and counter ion amount were evaluated and optimum amount were determined. Characteristics of the method such as limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantification (LOQ), relative standard deviation (RSD) and linear dynamic range (LDR) were 1.78 µgL-1, 6.1 µgL-1, 12.3 ppt and 5-1500 µgL-1, respectively. The method was used successfully to extraction and determination of Atrazine in several real water samples. Determination of Atrazine amount was carried out by sensitive high performance liquid chromatography. Manuscript profile -

MoreBecause of ever-increasing demand for the use of biodegradable lubricants and additives, it is necessary to design and synthesize new additives. In the present study, two ionic liquids with imidazole cations were synthesized and characterized by 1H NMR and FTIR spectra. The use of ionic liquids based on the imidazolium cation and anion bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide (TFSA) and tris(tetrafluoroethyl)trifluorophosphate (FAP) has been investigated. These additives are known to be green additives as these compounds lack zinc, an element prohibited by environmental protection organizations. These materials were used as an additive to ISO 32 grade hydraulic oil. Their lubricating properties, such as cinematic viscosity at 40°C, copper corrosion, 4-ball weld point test, sulfated ash, oil/water separating test, and air release from oil were examined, which showed better results than the ordinary additive zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP). Both ILs have high solubility in crude oil. A 2000 ppm solution of [C14 mim][NTf2] exhibited more ability in decreasing pour point down to 12 °C. Wax crystals nucleation and growth were studied before and after of the addition of ILs. The results revealed that both the studied ILs could significantly decrease pour point of samples via delay in nucleation mechanism of wax crystals. Furthermore, in the presence of ILs rheological behavior of tested crude oils was improved. Besides, the viscosity at 23.5 °C and 15 °C was decreased 73% and 87%, respectively. Manuscript profile -
