The purpose of the study is to address the role of conflict management strategies (control, competition and avoidance) and the extent of strategic conflict management preferences in coaches and teams under their leadership on team effectiveness (wins and losses, ranking, and team durability). Investigating how a women's basketball coach prefers to work in a team and to what extent the choice of conflict resolution style affects team effectiveness. According to the review of the published literature, conflict arises in different stages of team formation and is inevitable. Although conflict reduces the productivity of a team, it can also be beneficial in increasing team performance. Team members in different positions prefer different styles to manage conflicts within a team, but there is still no research to determine the extent of these preferences among female basketball coaches, especially when talking about the impact of conflict management in real situations and team performance. be The purpose of the current study was to address this issue by examining and identifying strategic conflict management preferences and team results on team effectiveness (wins and losses, playoffs, rankings, and team longevity). Participants included female coaches from 41 teams in women's basketball, whose preferences were aggregated across three levels of league competition. Data were collected through a multi-part questionnaire to evaluate the study variables. Manuscript profile

The purpose of the present study is to compare the effect of positive psychology and young adult-oriented mindfulness on anxiety management among basketball players with disabilities who were sent to the national games in Tabriz (2021-2022). The research method was semi-experimental (pre-test & post-test) conducted by an experimental and control group. 45 teenaged boy basketball players were chosen by convenience sampling and then they were randomly divided into 2 experimental and 1 control groups. Positive psychology was taught to the first group (11 sessions for 1 hour; twice a week) and young-adult mindfulness was taught to the second group (8 sessions for 90 minutes; once a week) while the control group received no education. All the participants filled out Beck Anxiety Inventory (1990) before and after the education. For data analysis, univariate analysis of variance was used and the results showed that anxiety average score of the disabled boy basketball players in the positive psychology group significantly decreased compared to the young-adult mindfulness group and the post-test anxiety score of young adult-oriented mindfulness group significantly decreased compared to the control group.  Moreover, the results revealed that teaching positive psychology is more effective than teaching young adult-oriented mindfulness to control anxiety of the teenaged boy basketball players with disabilities. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between perfectionism and aggressive behavior in female basketball players in Esfahan. Statistical universe was the total female basketball players in Esfahan (105 players). 80 female basketball players were selected by convenience (within reach) sampling. Frost Multiple Perfectionism Scale (1990) and Bredemeier Athletic Aggression Inventory (1975) (hostile aggression items) were administered to collect data. The data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that: there were negative significant relation between the concern over mistake and hostile aggression, between doubt about actions and hostile aggression and between parental criticism and hostile aggression (P≤0/05). The results also revealed that: there was no any significant relation between the parental expectation, personal standards and organization with hostile aggression. Background: Basketball is a team-oriented and contact sport and participation in this sport entails accepting the risk of injury. The purpose of this study was to determine the causes and prevalence of sports injuries among male basketball players in the country. The aim of this study was to determine the causes and prevalence of sport injuries. Methods: This cross-sectional study employed a retrospective method and utilized a questionnaire on basketball injuries as documented by Marcus et al. The study surveyed 82 players from the Premier League and Division I, belonging to the 1401 basketball season. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and chi-square test (c2). Results: The results of the study showed that the frequency of injuries in the lower extremities (75%) was significantly higher than in the other parts of the body (p = 0.001, c2 = 94.46). In the lower limbs, knees and wrists had the highest injury rates (48.7%, and 46.2%, respectively) (p = 0.001, c2 = 41.49). Conversely, in the upper limb, shoulder had the highest injury rate (50%) though the difference was not significant (p = 0.26, c2 = 2.62). The mechanism of occurrence of damage was related to landing (44.2%), which was statistically significant (p = 0.001, c2 = 58.53).Conclusion: The majority of injuries among basketball players affect the lower extremities, particularly the knees and ankles, likely due to frequent jumping and rapid movements during the game. This study aimed to develop a model of Iranian basketball success paths. A combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods was used, involving the level managers of the basketball federation and the country's sports management specialists in the qualitative section. In the qualitative section, a semi-structured interview was conducted with 15 members of the qualitative community to achieve theoretical saturation. In the quantitative part, considering that between 5 to 10 samples were required for each question, 322 people were considered as the sample size by stratified random sampling method. The research measurement tool in the qualitative part included a semi-structured interview and in the quantitative part a questionnaire consisted of 59 questions taken from the interview. Exploratory factor analysis was used to psychometric the research structures. In order to ensure the validity of the structure and to confirm the factors identified in the previous step (exploratory factor analysis), the factors were used using the confirmatory factor analysis test by partial square method. It is concluded that 7 factors of management, environment, social and cultural, education, economic and political, talent identification and athlete affect the success of Iranian basketball.  Manuscript profile

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of sports massage on the proprioception of the shoulder joint of disabled female basketball players. In this quasi-experiment research, 30 disabled female basketball players who were playing in wheelchair basketball teams of Tehran were selected using convenient and volunteering method based on demographic information then assigned randomly into two test and control groups. The shoulder joint of dominant hand of members in test group had massage for 8 days (one 10-minute massage each day). Joint position sense of respondents measured and compared at first and end of study with angles 0, 45 and 90 degree using Biodex System 3 Model of Isokinetic Device. Findings showed a significant change in position sense of test group members after having massage (P<0.05). Results indicated that 8 sessions of exercise massage had positive effect on shoulder joint position sense of female disabled basketball players. Manuscript profile
