        To create a link between the architecture of two decades and to promote two spaces designed by two contemporary architecture engineers, namely Mehrdad Iravanian and Hadi Mirmirian, to place, these two spaces are investigated in a similar space. The inquiry method is applied in this research to obtain qualitative and quantitative data. The statistic population includes all the inhabitants of Shiraz, from which 385 people were selected as the sample size using the Cochran method. Findings: data were analyzed using SPSS-22 software. The reliability of this researcher-made questionnaire was obtained at 0.97. Appropriate lighting and removing unused angles and spaces are important factors affecting the individuals' sense of security and, consequently, the development of a sense of place. Regarding this matter, the people and experts have a similar opinion about the library; the statistics and advantages reveal that the Tar-o-Pood museum has successfully promoted the space to the place.         Introduction and research purpose: National Library is an Institute of Education (Science), Research and Services. The main mission of the National Library, according to the statute of the organization, includes collection, preservation, organization, dissemination of written and unwritten works as well as the research issues and services. In the present study, according to the practitioners and experts at the National Library, the efforts have been made to achieve the cultural development, while the current status of this organization is the evaluation and provision of a constructive exemplar to achieve the ideal outlook. Research methodology: The present study is applied as a practical research via the surveys, where the most significant tool of the present study is the written and verbal interviews with the practitioners and experts at the National Library. Statistical population: According to Cochran formulation, among thirty senior directors at the National Library, five directors were interviewed directly. Results: In respect to the purposes of the cultural development, initially the data were collected from the directors and experts at the National Library in order to achieve the criteria of the cultural development at the National Library and then the strategic cultural management is applied according to the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Conclusion: The identification of the deficient resources and the exchange and completion of the resources as well as digitalizing the resources are the major measures to achieve the cultural management. Any negligence on the organization, retention, and recruitment of the human resources based on relative selection and subjective preferences would make it difficult and unfeasible to achieve the cultural development.         Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the Children's National Digital Library of I. R. Iran. We strived to evaluate the user interface (UI) of the library with “general criteria for evaluating digital libraries” that have been extracted by Noruzi (2009) and functionalities of the library by special criteria extracted by researchers. Method: The study used an evaluative document study method. The researcher used to compare the user interface and core functionalities of the library against extracted criteria. Findings: Findings of the study showed that conformation rate of the Library's interface with the general criteria was 28/62 percent and this account for general and special criteria was 91/90 percent. Results: Combining the obtained results in evaluation of user interface from the viewpoints of public and special evaluating criteria, the National Library of Children and Adolescent have suitably operated.         Purpose: This study aimed to determine attitudes of users of Rasa software in the National Library of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Methodology: The research method was analytical survey and data collection has been done through using questionnaire. Research  population consists of patrons who use Rasa software at the National Library and Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Data and descriptive statistics are presented in frequency tables. Inferential statistics and hypothesis tests for independent and paired t test, Pearson correlation coefficient was used. Findings: The results showed that majority of patrons using Rasa software were women. The results also showed that the users with degree of master were more than other levels of achievement. The viewpoint of users regarding display feature of Rasa showed that majority of  them were satisfied with the display elements and they were familiar with it. A significant percentage of users (40%) have not evaluate the most elements of search and retrieve, and  interaction & support features and it indicates lack of use or lack of familiarity with the software features. Results: the results reveal that the view points of the users regarding the facilities and features of Rasa were different. It is necessary the Rasa designers revise it based on the user’s needs and o teach the search, retrieve and support and interaction features to users and inform them of the facilities of Rasa Manuscript profile

        Purpose: To evaluate the conformity of subject headings for the books published in Persian with those of the Database of National Library of Iran from 1384 to 1388. Methodlogy: The research data randomly selected from the bibliography of the Database of National Library of Iran. After sampling, the samples totaled 2493 titles which was determinded as the stratified Dewey Classification. The statistical population was 278237 titles in 1384-1388. Because of the main work was based on the ten classified subjects of Dewey Classification, the references of the “see”, “see also” and “see under”were calculated for the determination of the conformity scale of titles and subjects.. Findings: There was conformity about 99.9 percent between the titles and subjects selected from the Persian Subject Headings. Also, there was conformity in 1 percent of the total books surveyed through references of “see under” and 0.5 percent through “see” and 0.3 through “see also” references with the titles of the books. Conclusion: According to the research findings, there are conformity of 100 percent in the classifications of social science, language, pure science, practical science, arts and entertainments, literature, history, geography and the related sciences. .Also, Religion 99/ 8 percent, generalities 99/6 percent, philosophy and psychology 99/2 percent,  benefit the highest level of conformity with the titles and subjects of books of which three titles of books, that is, one title related to religion, one title to generalities,  one title to philosophy and Psychology, had no conformity with the assigned subjects.         Purpose: The purpose of this study is to offer a model of Inter-agency cooperations to provide services for the blind and low-sighted people in Iran. Methodology: This research was conducted as Quantitative (Descriptive Survey) and qualitative (Content Analysis). Required data were collected in two parts: First via questionnaire consisted of 3 open questions, asked through telephone interviews, with 12 non/expert respondents. The second part of the required data was obtained from the observation of libraries environment and search in the libraries websites, documents, news etc. Findings: The results showed that despite a large number of blinds and low-sighted people in Iran, information services and facilities had been scattered. There were no national plan for resource sharing and exchange associated with this particular groups. Conclusion: In order to achieve the desired level of services in both level of internal and inter-organizational, new measures including  the  more use of technology should be taken from organizations such as: the National Library for the Blind and Low-sighted people (apart from the current existing libraries, including the Blind Department of National Library), as a dynamic institution that have moral and material support from the government and the public.         Purpose This research aims to examine content analysis of traditional reference questions. Methodology: A content analysis method was used to measure all traditional reference questions during one month including 354 questions. Findings: Types of reference questions, relationship between asked questions and sociological characteristics of patrons, subject approach of traditional reference questions and the extent to which the patrons of reference desk use virtual reference services of NLAI all were discussed in the paper. Data analyzing of the research showed that the research population mostly includes women (65/53%) and the educational degree of most of patrons is M.S degree (49.29%). Also the findings showed that ready reference questions (42/66%) are mostly asked at reference desk while research reference questions (6/78%) are from the ones which have been less questioned. Most of the questions are in the subjects of computer science, information & general works (000) and the least of them are in the fields of philosophy & psychology (100) according to DDC. Originality/ value: Members of NLAI do not go to reference desk to ask their reaserch questions so NLAI should effectively plan to inform about such services (traditional and digital) through broushoures both electronic and printed ones and also holding educational workshops     Manuscript profile

        The objective of the present study is to design and validate the conceptual model of. This is an applied, exploratory mixed research. The statistical population of the study is all members of the Scientific Board of the National Library and Archives of Iran with 27 people in the Delphi method and 500,060 users of the Digital Library Hall throughout the Iran in the statistical inferencesection. Statistical samples were selected based on a census in the Delphi sectionand by the convenience method in the statistical inference section. A questionnaire was used to collect data whose validity was confirmed by construct validity method, factor loadingand Cronbach's alpha reliability. Descriptive tests including mean and standard deviation, Bartlett's test, factor analysis, and path analysis were used to analyze the research data using the SPSS and Amos statistical software. Based on the research findings, the quality of services in digital libraries can be classified into four main factors: internal factor, external factor, third factor, and the quality of output services. These four factors can be a good measure of the quality of services in digital libraries. Structural equation modeling using PLS software was employed in order to examine the hypothesis and investigate the causal relations of variables in the study.         Objective: identification of factors affecting information services in national libraries. Methods: The method of this study was qualitative and used brainstorming and group decision making to collect data. The study population consisted of 21 librarians working at the National Library Service desks of Iran. To increase the validity and accuracy of the data, recordings and audio recordings were collected and returned to librarians for modification and approval. Maxqda software was used for data analysis. Results: Factors affecting the Information services of National Library of Iran from the perspective of librarians are included in 4 themes (Information Librarian, user, Services and Service Desk). The qualitative analysis of the data resulted in the extraction of 301 primary codes that reported service factors. Multiple revisions and code integration based on similarity over several steps eventually yielded 15 sub-themes. Conclusion: The results showed that within the theme of information librarian, three sub-themes of information literacy, client relationship and professional ethics of librarian; in client, three sub-themes of client education, user Independence and user membership; within the themes of service desks, 5 sub themes of accessibility, desk location, desk physics, service desks and safety; and within the service theme, 4 sub-themes of marketing, providing value added to the customer, prioritizing matters, and providing a specialized view to departments and services are factors influencing services.         Objective: Infopreneur ship in order to create an information business from the perspective of librarians of the National Library of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been studied.   Methodology: The present applied research is in terms of Descriptive-survey method. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect data. Then, 132 persons were selected from 320 librarians of the National Library based on Morgan table with 95% confidence interval and 5% error, which 127 questionnaires were completed. Descriptive and inferential statistics and SPSS software were used to analyze the data.   Results: From the point of view of librarians of the National Library of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the amount of preparation and production of information products for, infopreneur ship is a little (39%) and the amount of marketing of information products in the National Library is average (47%). But the level of familiarity of librarians with information technologies and systems to create an information business is high and about (53%). Negative results also show that: about (50%) has been neglected to encourage users infopreneur ship; Librarians have not been able to distribute and generate wealth by creating an information business (more than 48%); And in order to create an information business, librarians have not been able to influence more than (50%) user information. Conclusion: The research results show that the components  (07/0), the amount of encouraging users to infopreneur ship32/0-) (, and the amount of production and distribution of wealth with infopreneurs hip(64/1-), Inattention shown and total the amount of attention of librarians studied to the components of infopreneur ship to create an information business is equal to With (-0/45), which shows that librarians have not been able to institutionalize information about their users and work environment in order to create an information business in themselves and their users.         Objective: This study was conducted with the aim of understanding the needs of the Visually Impaired in the Visually Impaired Department of the National Library and Archives of Iran.Methodology: The present study is qualitative that was conducted by content analysis method with inductive approach. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview. Sampling went so far as to saturate the data and no new data was extracted from the interviews. The interview was saturated with 10 visually impaired who had experience using the services of the visually impaired Department. 132 initial codes (2 main themes and 12 sub-themes) were extracted from the interviews. Guba and Lincoln criteria (Credibility, Dependability, Confirmability and Transferability) were used for data robustness and accuracy. Maxqda software version 20 was used for data analysis.Results: The analysis of the interviews about the participants' experience in using the services of the visually impaired Department of the National Library of Iran was summarized in two general themes: "Problems and Limitations" and "Suggestions for Improving the Services". The 7 sub-themes related to the “limitations and problems” reported by users with visually impaired were: paths and environmental guides, path insecurity, visually impaired independence, special tools for the visually impaired, facilities, environmental conditions of the visually impaired hall (librarian position and hall environmental conditions), and marketing services. People with visually impaired offered suggestions for improving the the services, which were in 5 sub-themes: education, resources, online services, strengthening special facilities, and strengthening voluntary facilities.Conclusion: The results showed that visually impaired have several problems and limitations in using the services of the visually impaired Department of the National Library and Archives of Iran. Considering that this library is the mother library in the country, it is better for the library staff to follow-up to remove the current restrictions and by continuously evaluating their information needs, redesigning and arranging facilities, reviewing signs and environmental guides, Special facilities, development programs, equipment procurement and marketing programs, take steps to improve the library services for the visually impaired. The statistical population of this study includes managers and resources of Iran and India Iranian Studies Centers include the National Library, the Iranian Studies Foundation, Khodabakhsh Library, and the Central Library of the Osmania University. Data collection tools were checking log and questionnaire. The results were analyzed by Excel software. In examining the services of Iranian studies centers, a researcher-made questionnaire in the form of 5 main questions in the Likert scale has been used.Results: The findings showed that most sources of Iranology in Iran are in Persian and English language, but in India it is mostly in English, Pahlavi, Persian and Arabic language and the subject diversity of resources in the subject areas of Indian Iranology Centers is more than Iranian Iranology Centers and most of the services provided (lending, use of references and information) in Iranian and Indian Iranian Studies Centers belong to Professors, researchers and students. Also, research services are the most services of the Iranian Studies Foundation, National Library, Osmania Central Library and the Khodabakhsh Library for the community of researchers, Iranologists and students. In addition the original source in the centers of Iran microfilm and electronic versions in the centers of India include the most how to use the resources and the most important way of cooperation between the centers of Iranology is cooperation through Iranologists and lending resources.Conclusion: The results showed that the resources and services of Selected Libraries of India are better than Iran.         The present research deals with the feasibility study of information marketing programs in National Library and proposing a model. The society under research includes directors, organization and administrative system of National Library of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Descriptive, survey and case study methods have been used in the present project, and for this purpose, the findings have been designed and provided in an information marketing model. A questionnaire has been designed and distributed among 23 mangers of National Library, and ultimately 21 questionnaires have been analyzed. Descriptive statistics and non-parametric chi-square test have been used to analyze data. The findings indicate that the rate of directors’ familiarity with the concept of information marketing in National Library is high (%57.1). For the directors’ viewpoint on necessity of information marketing in National Library, the findings show that most (%85/7) responsive agree on the necessity of information marketing in National Library. In other section, the components of seven elements of mixture marketing in National Library have been collected according to checklist, and necessary information has been extracted with a view to the questions. The findings indicate that out of 127 cases connected with elements of mixed marketing, 108 cases, i.e. %85, are available in National Library, and such library took initial steps towards the execution of information marketing, and administrative system in connection with that section has been established. However, despite of the above facts, the findings also indicate that there is no coherent order as marketing mixture form among mentioned elements. The obtained results confirm the research hypothesis: “It is possible to implement information marketing in National Library”. Finally, in addition to providing practical suggestions, a proposed model has been designed and provided to establish and develop information marketing in National Library.   Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The purpose of this research is to evaluate the feasibility of applying “5s “system in  resources  and reference unit of information division of National library of Iran. Methodology: In this research data are Collected through measuring. The society of this research is resources and reference unit of information division of National library of Iran. Data collected through 5 checklist that were designed and customize with 5s system standard checklist. Collected data from each s analyzed by k2 test and median test.  Findings: Evaluation shows that 14.9 % of total cases doesn't observe the 5s system. 12.04 % is in poor level, 13.8% is in significant level, 20.8 % is in well level and 38.3 % is in complete level of observing 5s system. Conclusion: resources and reference unit of information division of National library of Iran are in a relatively good situations regarding to applying 5s system. There is possibility of applying 5s system in level below (the error) 0/05 as error in information division of National library of Iran and the hypothesis of this research confirms. Also managers should pay more attention to S5 and learning conceptions of that among employees of resources and reference unit of information division of National library of Iran.   Manuscript profile

        Objective: The aim of the present study was to determine the rate of knowledge, attitude and practice of faculty members in the use of digital resources and databases of the National Library of Medicine Iranian intelligence. Methodology: A descriptive study in a periodical time was conducted in 2011. The study population included all the faculty members of Iran University of Medical Sciences (n = 700) and a sample of 152 randomly selected using Morgan Table. Data gathering tool was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS17 software. Findings: The results showed faculty members used resources 42.8% percent of Iran's National Digital Library of Medicine. Faculty members 'attitudes in the use of digital library resources in enhancing national university was positive. National Digital Library of Medicine faculty members in the use of resources in the cases of target, motivation, and academic publications, the use of Database and Science Direct database were more than others.  Conclusion: Considering the positive attitude of faculty members toward the use of digital library resources of the National Iranian, it is suggested the knowledge and optimum use of resources to be improved in terms of getting rid of the existence barriers.         Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify feasibility invention of agricultural national library (ANL) in Republic of Islamic of Iran; a case study of manager opinions in agriculture field.    Methodology: The research method used was a descriptive and a questionnaire was used to gather data. The statistical population of this study included 75 persons that 41 persons of them were manager directors of agricultural faculties in governmental universities and 34 persons of them were manager directors of agricultural research centers related to agricultural education and research organization. Data was gathered through a questionnaire and its validity was confirmed by a panel of experts in the field of information and agricultural extension and education. Instrument reliability was estimated by calculating Cronbach alpha coefficient. Findings: The finding of this study showed that quick and update information services to students, faculty members, researchers and agricultural specialists through relation with agricultural information databases and other dependent sciences as one of the goals of ANL 98/6%  and Agricultural extension and increasing of farmers awareness and literacy level have got 58/8% and Gathering, protecting, organizing and information dissemination related to written and unwritten works about agricultural sciences other sciences as a part of library duties,  , have got  95/7% and performance meeting , scientific and special seminars on agriculture and related sciences have got 47/2% As view point of  structure style , independent governmental organization have got 48/5% and As view point a private organization have got38/6% . As view point of organization dependent to MSRT have got 42/9% and MCIG have got35/6%. Conclusions: Results showed that for establishment the National Agricultural Library in Iran must be considered number of factors, including objectives, functions, facilities, services, manpower.         Purpose: The present study examine the relationship between Workplace Spirituality and organizational excellence in the National Library and Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Methodology: Analytical survey method, and research population consists of 160 managers and librarians working in national library of Iran. The Questionnaire to measure spirituality in the workplace has been used the Milliman Questionnaire and has been used to determiningthe spirituality in three levels, individual, group and organizational. To set factors of excellence has been used standardized questionnaire that contains nine main criterions: Leadership, People, Policy and Strategy, Partnerships and Resources, Processes, People Results, Customer Results, Society Results and Key Performance Results. The data analysis has been done bySPSS software. Findings: In the case of spirituality at work the highest rate belonged to the “Group Level” with the average 24.04 and the lowest rate also belonged to the “Individual level” with an average of 22.5. Also, the F-test between the two groups in the field of Librarians and Non-librarians shows that there is a difference. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the level of organizational excellence and spirituality in the workplace in the National Library. Manuscript profile
