Background: Many entrepreneurial decisions depend on opportunity evaluation, the cornerstone of entrepreneurship. Time constraints and limited resources indicate the need to evaluate opportunities for entrepreneurial success. Misdiagnosis leads to a waste of time, energy, and resources and increases the likelihood of failure. Objective: By reviewing the previous literature, this article examines research topics and theoretical foundations to evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities and ways to pursue different concepts. Methods: To improve the structure and content of this field, a variety of different concepts is provided by bibliometric analysis.Findings: Creating new insights into evaluating entrepreneurial opportunities and how to study them and previous research findings with a systematic, quantitative and holistic review. Bibliographic analysis in this research is used for future research orientations for developing literature evaluating entrepreneurial opportunities and creating a future research program to promote this field. Conclusion: Our results are in two parts. First, we present the statistical analysis of the bibliographic data set and explain the effect of co-citation analysis and clustering. Second, we categorize and review the conceptual definitions of opportunity evaluation based on their approach. Manuscript profile

Purpose: The Present Study aims to review the science produced by the faculty of Guilan university in Web of Science. And  their Scientific map will be illustrated using Hist Site during the twelve years (2001-2012). Methodology: The Present study is of applied type. Using scientometrics` methods and applying Bradford and Lotka principle and citation analysis, the scientific output in web of science is analyzed. The statistical population in this study is selected by census and includes all of the scientific output the faculty of Guilan University has produced from 2001 to 2012. In order to analyze, the data has been collected by searching the web of science and the data has been analyzed in three stages using SPSS, Excle and ISI.exe software and then to plot the scientific history of this university the Hist Site has been applied. Findings: The Present study showed that during the interval of the study the researchers of the university have published 911 indexes at the web of science.  The University of Guilan has had a growth in the world sciences amounting to 22.7 %, on average. Among the researchers, Shirini has had the highest growth. The investigations showed that the faculty of Guilan University had the most collaboration with England, Australia, USA and Germany. The results showed that the researchers of this university had the most co-operations with the authors of Iranian universities including Guilan University of medical sciences and medical university of Tehran. This shows that the researchers of this university have 84 % group cooperation. Lotka principle in terms of frequency distribution and Bradford principle in terms of core journal has conformed publishing the papers of the faculty. The scientific structure of the university is based on the citationat the national and international level using the “Hist Site” software. The results indicate that the science map of this university is constituted from 4 clusters including mathematics and chemistry. Conclusion: The results of this study show that the chemistry researchers of this university have a high share in science production. Although the process of science making in this university has been going upwards during the years of this study this process has not been uniform in all of the fields of this university. Therefore, the management of the university must provide conditions so that the researchers will have high motivation and the required capabilities to get published in the prestigious international journals. Material and Methodology: The present research is an applied scientometrics type that has been done by citation analysis method. The research community consists of articles in the field of urban design that were indexed in the Web of Science scientific database between 1985 until 2020. The search in the web of science database was done based on 4 ways, and after several steps of filtering, 1789 articles related to the field of urban design were obtained for citation analysis. Then, the obtained data were entered into the Histcite citation analysis software and the software of creating Scientific maps, Vosviewer, for citation analysis. Findings: Based on the results it was found that 2014 was the most successful year in of producing top cited articles and Respectively United States, China and Australia and also Respectively Berkeley, Utah and Michigan universities in united states producing the most cited Articles in the field of urban design. Meanwhile, Iran is ranked 21st in the world in terms of producing top cited articles in the field of urban design, and also Amirkabir Univ Technol, Shahid Beheshti Univ and Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training Univ are respectively as the top academic institutions in terms of producing top cited articles in the field of urban design in iran. Discussion and Conclusion: Due to the interdisciplinary nature of urban design knowledge and the involvement of various disciplines and knowledge related to this field, it is necessary to increase cooperation between different universities and create incentive mechanisms for researchers in this field in order to improve the quality of future researches. The results show that this journal within the years under study (7 years), published 262 articles in 28 issues. The collaboration of researchers shows that within these seven years 51.15% of articles had just one author. In other words, in the first four years, the scientific collaboration of authors had been weak and the majority of articles were single-authored ones. However, over the last three years authors have tended towards collaborative writing and coauthoring. This research shows that Mehdi Momtahen with 22 articles is introduced as the most prolific author. Also Islamic azad university of Jiroft branch with 46 articles is ranked as the most prolific university. Books form 90% of research sources of the authors of this journal and about 71% of research sources of this journal has been in Persian language. Manuscript profile

Nowadays, epistemology presents a new field in research areas. In this science, statistical and measurement methods are used to determine the criterions of the growth and development of science and levels of their expansion and its effect on research societies. This science appeared in Russia and developed in Eastern European countries especially in Hungary. This method is used for quantitative measurement of science in the national and international levels of governmental and private establishments. Bibliometrics is one of the important methods of epistemology and citation study or analysis is one of the most popular techniques of bibliometrics in which formulas ruling the relation between text and document are studied. Human being relies to credit his work. The path of scientific discovery and thoughts are defined by citations that are rate of referring to former sources like fixed traces. In this article, meanings, definitions and functions of citation analysis from scientists' viewpoint are studied and the relation between aspects is expressed.     Manuscript profile

Purpose: This study investigatesیthe growth and development trend of scientific productions (articles) by Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman’s faculty members in the citation database of Web of Sciences. The main purpose of this study was to identify and determine the scientific productions of the Shahid Bahonar University’s faculty members.  Methodology: The present study applied scientometric research method to conduct the study. The data were collected form The WoS database and analyzed by EXCEL and SPSS soft wares. The statistical analysis was based on descriptive statistics. First, all records produced by the Shahid Bahonar University’s faculty members during 2000-2011 and indexed by the WoS database were retreived. Then, analytical report for all indices were obtained and was entered into SPSS. For the citation analysis of the records, a citation report was produced for each faculty member and then the citation were saved in personal computer with full text format and finally analized by SPSS. Findings: The average annual growth rate of scientific productions of Shahid Bahonar University during the period of 2000-2011 showed an acceptable growth, especially with its ascending move since 2004, which could significantly improve the ranking of Shahid Bahonar University among other universities of the country. Data analysis showed that the Department of Sciences ranked first as the most productive department; most of documents and productions of which were done in chemistry faculty.  Considering the most prominent researchers of Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman in terms of number of documents, number of references and average reference for each document, we could say that fields of chemistry, mechanics and statistics were the scientific production engines of this university. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that Shahid Bahonar University had had 1356 records during the examined years. Also, the average growth rate of this university was 33.6%. Considering the produced documents and received citations, Mohammadali Taher, Iran Sheykh Shoaei and Ahmad Sheykhi occupied the top most places based on productivity measure.
