        The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of six different medicinal plants on humoral immune system performance of broiler chickens. 420 one-day-old male broilers (308 Ross strain) were used in a completely randomized design in 7 treatments and three replicates (20 birds per replicate) for 42 days. The treatment groups consisted of a control(Group1) assigned  to the  basal diet and experimental groups 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 were basal diet supplemented with  1% Mentha pulegium L., 1% Thymus vulgaris, 1% Cicorium intibus, 1% Satureja hortensis, 1% Malva neglecta and 1% Urtica dioica of aerial parts powder in the feedstuff, respectively. B1 Newcastle vaccine was used in all groups of broilers at 10 and 25 days of age. Two birds from each replicate (6 birds from each group, totally)were randomly chosen and blood sample was taken on the 24th and 34th days of experimental period and Hemagglutination Inhibition (HI) test was performed on sera and the heterophil: lymphocyte ratio was calculated. Regarding HI test (Antibody levels against Newcastle virus vaccine), it didn’t show statistical significance in different treatment groups. Regarding heterophil: lymphocyte ratio, only the group that had received 1% Urtica dioica showed statistical significance in comparison with control group (P< 0.05) and other groups didn’t show any statistical significance.Probably, other amounts of these medicinal plants (separately or mixed together) may effectively improve the immune system.         The aim of this research has been to determine the effect compound of probiotics, lactase enzyme and antibodies on improving the histomorphology characters of lymphoid organs and improving growth humoral immunity of broiler chickens. For this purpose, 96 broilers (W- Ross 308) have been randomly divided into two groups of 48 with 4 replicates. For  evaluation of  humoral  immunity,  samples  were  selected  from  each  replication  randomly at 3rd, 23th and 42th day of production, and cc blood  was  got  from  wing  vein  and  HI  was  tested. For evaluation of histomorphology of lymphoid organs at the end of period, randomly two slaughter samples were selected from each replication has been sent to the histology lab. The  results  of  statistical  analysis were shown  that  rate of antibodies was  non significant at  -day – old  (p>0.05) and  it was  significant  at days  and  days (p). Microscopic studies of lymphoid organs (Bursa of fabricius, spleen and thymus) were shown significant statistical difference (p<0.05) but non significant at other parameters. According to the results of using of the combination can improved humoral immune system and has no medicinal residue in   poultry meat, it can be an appropriate substitute for growth stimulating antibiotics.         5 - Comparative study of the effect of Immunowall and Avilamycin on antibody titre against Newcastle B1 vaccine in broiler chickens

             The purpose of the present study was to comparatively investigate the effect of Avilamycin and Immunowall on the improvement of humoral immunity in boiler chickens. In this study, 360 cobb broiler chickens were divided into three similar groups of 120 chickens with four replicates of 30 chickens in each group. In the first and second experimental groups, 1 kg/ton of Immunowall and Avilamycin respectively were added to the basic diet while in the third control group only the basic diet was used. On days 9, 17 and 25 of the breeding period (corresponding to 1 day before and 7 and 14 days after the first Newcastle B1 vaccination), 40 chickens were randomly chosen in each experimental group, their blood samples collected, and then serum antibody titres of these chickens against the Newcastle vaccine were measured by HI test. After stastistical analysis using ANOVA and Duncans’s multiple range test, the results of serum antibody titres by HI test on day 9 of the breeding period was not statistically significant. The results of HI test on day 17 of the breeding period (5.01 ± 0.32, 5.27 ± 0.27 and 5.13 ± 0.20 in the control and experimental groups 1 and 2 respectively) was also statistically not significant. The HI test results on day 25 of the breeding period (5.04 ± 0.44, 5.87 ± 0.47 and 5.61 ± 0.41 in the control and experimental groups 1 and 2 respectively) indicated significant statistical differences (P<0.05) between experimental groups 1 and 2 and the conrol group. However, there were no significant differences between the two experimental groups although serum antibody titres in experimental group 1 (Immunowall) showed 0.26 log increase compared to experimental group 2 (Avilamycin). Immunowall as a natural product is notably capable of improving anti B1 antibody production in response to Newcastle B1 vaccine and as it does not leave any drug residues in poultry meat, it can be a suitable alternative to growth promoting generation of antibiotics.   Manuscript profile

        This research was conducted to determine the effects of Heat stress on some Blood Parameters, serum Biochemical values and humoral immunity in broiler chicks. Eighty day old Cobb broilers were randomly divided into 2 equal groups of control and treatment. Both groups were kept under the same management, nutrition, density, ventilation and vaccination conditions. The only difference between the two groups was treatment of the last week of the breeding period (days 36-42). Which was 24 0C in the control group and 33 0C in the treatment group. At the end of the breeding period (days 42), blood samples were taken from the brachial vein of all broiler. To determine the blood parameters, part of the samples were collected in anticoagulant containing capillary tubes (1mg/ml, EDTA) and were determined immediately. The Haematocrit, Leucocyte counts and differential Leucocyte counts were determined immediately. The other portions of the brachial blood were used to determine blood PH and following centrifuging and separation of the sera, some biochemichal parameters such as Total protein and Glocose were evaluated by colorimetric method with specific kits. To determine the effect of heat stress on Humoral immiunity, serum samples were tested with HI (Haemagglutination Inhibition) method to to clarify antibody production in response to Newcastles disease vaccine. The results of this study showed that Haematocrit, Lymphocyte percentage and Total protein were significantly decreased (p<0/05), but serum levels of Glucose, blood PH, Heterophil percentage H/L and ratio was significantly increased in the treatment group (p<0.05). Evaluation of the Monocyte and Eosinophil percentage did not reveal statistically significant differences between the treatment and control groups (p>0.05). Results of Newcastle HI test showed that HI titers were significantly decreased in treatment group (p<0.05). As a result, broiler chicks subjected to heat stress are susceptible to Newcastles disease and subsequent secondary infections due to suppression of the immune system. Manuscript profile

        هدف این تحقیق ارزیابی اثرات کنجاله پنبه­دانه عمل­آوری شده با بنتونیت سدیم بر برخی ترکیبات خونی و پاسخ ایمنی مرغ­های تخمگذار تجاری بود. این پژوهش به‌صورت ترتیب فاکتوریل 3 × 3 در قالب طرح کاملاً تصادفی با سه سطح 0، 1 و 2 درصد بنتونیت سدیم و سه سطح 0، 10 و 20 درصد کنجاله پنبه­دانه در جیره انجام شد. این آزمایش با 9 تیمار و 4 تکرار 8 قطعه­ای مرغ تخمگذار هایلاین واریته 36W- از سن51 تا 63 هفتگی اجرا شد. نمونه­های خونی برای آنالیز سلول­ها و ترکیبات در انتهای دوره از سیاهرگ بال به­دست آمدند. بنتونیت سدیم، کنجاله پنبه­دانه و اثر متقابل آنها تاثیر منفی بر سلول­ها و ترکیبات خونی نداشتند. گلبول قرمز گوسفند به‌عنوان آنتی­ژن برای سنجش پاسخ ایمنی استفاده شد که به دو پرنده از هر تکرار در 60 هفتگی تزریق شد. نمونه­های خونی 7 و 14 روز پس از تزریق گلبول­های قرمز گوسفند از هر مرغ گرفته شده و تیتر anti-SRBC،IgG  وIgM  تعیین شدند. هیچ اثر معنی­داری از بنتونیت سدیم، کنجاله پنبه­دانه و اثر متقابل آنها بر کل پادتن تولیدی بر ضد گلبول­های قرمز گوسفند مشاهده نشد، اما IgG با استفاده از میزان20 درصد کنجاله پنبه­دانه در جیره در روز 7 پس از تزریق و با 2 درصد بنتونیت سدیم در 14 روز پس از تزریق به طور معنی­داری افزایش یافت. میزان IgG در مورد اثرات متقابل نیز در تیمار حاوی 2 درصد بنتونیت سدیم و 20 درصد کنجاله پنبه­دانه در مقایسه با تیمار شاهد 14 روز پس از تزریق به طور معنی­داری افزایش یافت. در نتیجه، ترکیبات خونی به­طور معنی­داری تحت تأثیر جیره­های آزمایشی قرار نگرفتند، اما پاسخ ایمنی تغییر کرد.
