Satire is one of the ways of spoken combat of speakers through which political and social structures are challenged. There are a variety of methods to make satirical implementation and speakers use their desired way, depending on the intended content of the speaking. In this research the poems of Abolqasem Halat, an Iranian poet and Ahamd Matar, an Iraqi poet, were analyzed regarding the use of satirical methods and we concluded that the difference in contents of the poems of these two writers as well as discrepancy in time and place have caused different methods of satire to be used. Abolqasem Halat focused more on making laugh and amusing and challenging people’s behavior and in some cases he has ridiculed the lawyers of assembly so he has created the mockery more through using vernacular words, repetition and irony of circumstances but Ahmad Matar has more focused on the political situations and his satire has been more serious and it doesn’t include any fun or laughter and he used ironical methods and the metaphor of tyranny more. Due to his destructive role Alexander is remembered as an evil and ominous figure in older Persian sources. But, due to the influence of the Greek mythology and culture, recent sources have provided his figure with an aura of greatness and virtue. Scholars well know that Alexander is not given a positive picture in Shahnameh, although they mention two evidences from the text which do not go with this total picture, namely his description as a brother to Darius III, and his being the subject of a long episode in Shahnameh, the latter being regarded as the sign of the high value put on him by Ferdowsi. In this article, we will use the structuralism approach to prove that the claimed brotherhood of Alexander and Darius III is not to compensate the defeat and restore national pride, but to serve as a satire against the rulers whose ineptitude and treason pave the ground for the coming of the invaders. The lengthy treatment of Alexander's character is also due to the fact that he is the founder of the long-lasting Seleucia Dynasty, regardless of how destructive his invasion was. Denunciations of his action and devaluation of his ancestry prove this argument. Here, research data have collected by analytical By library approach and have processed by analytical and descriptive methods. Manuscript profile

Hafez’s satire is social and political, yet it is artistic, subtle, and flexible in interpretation. However, in most cases, it is innocent, noble, deep and elegant, rooted in a logical feeling and understanding, reflected in a regretful smile.  Hafez employs two general patterns in the structure of his satire: one, the frank social satire, directly criticizing a specific class or group; second, the mediated social satire in which he recklessly introduces himself to be representing a class, complaining about himself, thus reflecting what others are suffering from. Hafez has employed whatever possible method to fight satirically against injustice, corruption, and hypocrisy. Among his major ways of satire, irony, and witticism are: violating the signs and values of the sanctity of the ascetics and Sufis; changing the objects and the words by adoption and accountability; employing literary figures such as ambiguity, euphemism, simile, and antithesis; irony, kenning, and sometimes epigrams for the beloved in the form of questions and answers and repartee; satire in the form of an advice;  panegyric writing and responsibility seeking; employing public culture and colloquialism. On the whole, Hafez’s satire is sometimes deep and sarcastic and sometimes superficial and tender which are going to be analyzed and illustrated in this paper.  Manuscript profile

A quick review of mystic texts in Persian literature reveals that Bayazid's mystic narratives, jus like carnival movement, is full of images indicating deconstruction and mystic satire. One of the characteristic features of carnival is violating dominant norms set by power. It goes without saying that this mode of deconstruction includes ridiculing cultural, social and religious, and linguistic norms. The author aims at using carnival movement and Bachtin's theory as a theoretical framework to analyze Bayazid's mystic satires and reinterpret them in terms of 'I' and 'the other'. This approach minimizes the borderlines between 'I' and 'the other'. Using the unexpected, sense of humor, and contradiction, Bayazid makes fun of the dominant single voice. This attitude results in the deconstruction of ideologies and social classes and the creation of mystic satire.     Manuscript profile
