        سید حسن مهدیخانی سروجهانی
Abu’al-Hasan ‘Alī ibn Husayn Mas‘ūdī (d. 345 AH), provided a report in his two well-known works (Murūj al-dhahab and al-tanbīhwa’l-ishrāf), indicates that the ancient Iranians, including Sāsān ibn Bābak, went to Ka‘bah to make a pilgrimage More
Abu’al-Hasan ‘Alī ibn Husayn Mas‘ūdī (d. 345 AH), provided a report in his two well-known works (Murūj al-dhahab and al-tanbīhwa’l-ishrāf), indicates that the ancient Iranians, including Sāsān ibn Bābak, went to Ka‘bah to make a pilgrimage and carried gifts. According to this story, name of Zamzam well is derived from the Persian word-zamzam- means whisper. The present study examines significant points of Masudi’s narrative and compares it with those from other sources on history of Iran and Mecca in pre- Islamic period. It is concluded that the report about the Iranians regard to K‘abah in pre- Islamic period had not been mentioned in the works from other historians before Mas‘ūdī and also those who wrote about history from a critical point of view after him. Therefore, the aforementioned narrative is not common and valid and probably emanated from Sho‘ūbīs inIslamic era. Manuscript profile

The objective of the present research is to explore the grounds for Arab convergence with the Zionist regime against Iran, based on Stephen Walt's Balance of Threat theory. The research method is descriptive-analytical, and the results indicate that the Arabs, emphasizing Iran's security threats, have developed their relations with the Zionist regime for reasons including American support for normalizing relations, the Arabs' involvement in internal crises, the weakening of Iran's anti-Zionist ideology, the existence of rifts among Arab countries, and changes in the regional power balance through various military, political, and economic collaborations. They consider the behavioral pattern of threat balancing as the best approach towards the Islamic Republic of Iran. It seems that the normalization of relations between the Arabs and the Zionist regime, like other conspiracies by the Western-Hebrew-Arab triangle in recent decades, will ultimately fail. This plot will not be a concerning issue because sooner or later, it will lead to the disgrace of countries aligned with the Zionist regime and the collapse of these artificial relationships. Given that normalization of relations, at best, will not extend beyond the level of state relations with the Zionist regime, it is suggested that the Islamic Republic of Iran maintain active diplomacy to keep the issue of Palestine alive and remind the Arab governments to heed the voices of their peoples who oppose normalization with the occupying Zionist regime. The theorists of Intertextuality believe that there is no original text. Therefore, Masoud Arabshahi's artworks are akin to other works based on previous texts. Masoud Arabshahi is one of the contemporary artists who has drawn from various pretexts in the form and color of his artworks. The use of these pretexts can be recognized through intertextual relationships. In this research, which explores the 'intertextual reading of form and color in Arabshahi's artworks based on Gerard Genette's opinions,' different aspects of text and intertextuality, as well as the theorists of this approach, especially Gerard Genette, are elucidated. Subsequently, Arabshahi's artworks (12 samples), which have been categorized and purposefully selected, are analyzed, and the types of Genette's intertextuality (intentional-overt, intentional-hidden, and implicit) in the form and color of these artworks are specified. This research is qualitative and follows a descriptive-analytical method. It employs basic theory and reasoning to explain the relationships and understand the components of a visual work, conducted in the form of reading texts and documents. This research seeks to answer the question of which pretexts Arabshahi's artworks have utilized in form and color, and how intertextual relationships, based on Genette's theory, are employed in his works. The results indicate that Masoud Arabshahi has made more use of the pretexts from ancient Iranian and Mesopotamian arts in his artworks than other pretexts. Additionally, the use of earlier texts has gradually evolved in Arabshahi's works, transitioning from overt intertextuality to hidden and then to implicit. Manuscript profile

Abstract The US led coalition forces attack to Iraq on the pretext of WMD has turned this country's events into one of the main topics discussed by the experts in political and international issues. Based on the new Iraqi constitution, which was approved by Parliament and the majority of Iraqi people, the government was established as 'democratic, federal parliamentary republic'. This paper tries to answer the following question: what is the impact of the federal system in Iraq on Iran's national security? To answer this question, authors have used descriptive-analytical method . Compared to Iraq’s thereat, as a unitary state, for Iran’s national security (as was the case of the last Iran- Iraq war) or as a distorted country which paves the way for inference of trans regional powers in opposition to Iran’s national interests, it seems that the new Iraq federal system regardless of some challenges that may cause for neighbors including Iran, can be the best model for national security.
