Abstract :
The aim of this study was to compare the effects of telephone, virtual individual and virtual group counseling packages on the symptoms of obsession and depression in clients suffering from OCD in Isfahan city. This research was a semi-experimental study with a pre-test, post-test and follow-up design with a control group. The population consisted of patients with OCD in Isfahan who had referred to counseling centers. The sample consisted of 40 Patients who were selected by available sampling and randomly assigned to 4 groups (control, telephone, individual and virtual group). In order to collect data, Beck's depression questionnaires (BDI-II) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (Yale- Brown, 1989). There were 12 individual and group therapy sessions, weekly with one follow-up session. Multivariate covariance analysis (MANCOVA) showed that there is a significant difference between the mean scores of obsessive and depressive symptoms in the three research groups and the control group (p<0.01). As a result, counselors and clients have a great desire for virtual counseling so that they can solve problems and improve mental disorders. Also, non-attendance consultations are effective in reducing the symptoms of obsession and depression, which is a desirable treatment option by combining act and compassion therapies with non-attendance methods.
