A Comparative Study of E-learning System in Selected Countries of Asia “Japan, China, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Iran”

Abstract :
the aim of this study is to recognize and compare the similarities and differences between educational system of E-learning of Asian countries and Payame noor university (in fields such as the number of students, faculty members, employees, teachers/students ratio, teaching-learning ways, resources, learning materials and library facilities, support mechanisms, exams and quality insurance mechanisms).The present study is a documentary research which is done based on comparative-analytical method. Statistical population is all distance universities of “Japan, China, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Iran”. From among the universities of these countries, the Open University of Japan, the Open University of China, Indira Gandhi University in India, Iqbal Allamah University in Pakistan, and Payame noor University were chosen through judgmental sampling. The required information were gathered by studying the records and documents, and official web-sites of universities. Also, the data were analyzed based on Brody’s method. Results showed that using the successful experience of Asian countries can help us to proceed in solving our educational problems based on other countries’ solutions.
