Abstract :
Abstract The goal of this survey is to investigate high school teachers’ knowledge of the fundamentals of curriculum development and learning strategies and delivering proper patterns to improve their knowledge and skills. The survey was done as a field research and the researcher collected the data from high school teachers in Mazandaran Province in 2006-2007 . Statistical samples were 360 teachers, chosen randomly to analyze the data, in descriptive and deductive statistics, frequency distribution, frequency percentage, average puzzles and also Chi-square test, F-test and Z-test using SPSS software. The most important results of the survey were: high school teachers’ awareness of fundamentals of curriculum development and learning principles was lower than average. The average grade of assessment test of high school teachers’ awareness of fundamentals of curriculum development and learning principles was 10.89 (from 20 ) and among the averages based on different variances such as gender, degree, field of study and 10-19 year of working, there was a meaningful difference. The Highest average grades referred to the group of educational sciences teachers with MA. degrees and working years, and the least average grades refer to the group of basic sciences teachers with BA. degree and working of 20-29 years.
