Investigating the effect of entrepreneurial orientation through the mediating variable of digitalization strategy on disruptive innovation in Bouzarjomehr Company

Abstract :
The present study aimed to investigate the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on disruptive innovation with the mediating role of digitalization strategy in Bouzarjomehr Company. This study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlational in terms of method. The statistical population consisted of 201 managers and employees of Bouzarjomehr Company in 1403, of which 132 people were selected using the Cochran formula using simple random sampling. Standard questionnaires on entrepreneurial orientation (Jeffrey et al., 2002), digitalization strategy (Yoko et al., 2019), and disruptive innovation (Lin et al., 2015) were used to collect data. The validity of the research instrument was examined and confirmed using content and convergent validity. Also, the reliability of the questionnaires was confirmed by calculating Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability (CR). The data were analyzed using the structural equation method and Smart PLS 3 software. The results showed that entrepreneurial orientation has a positive and significant effect on disruptive innovation. Also, digitalization strategy as a mediating variable strengthens this relationship. The findings of the sub-hypotheses also showed that entrepreneurial orientation has a significant effect on digitalization strategy and digitalization strategy also affects disruptive innovation. Therefore, the development of digital strategies can play an important role in increasing disruptive innovation.
