Abstract :
The aim of this study was to explain the relationship between professional competencies and the performance of high school teachers in applying the principles of academic achievement tests. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of data collection and analysis method. It is also cross-sectional in terms of time. The statistical population of this study included all high school teachers in a city. The sampling method was simple random sampling, and based on Krejcie and Morgan's table, 268 individuals were selected as the sample. In order to collect data, the Teacher Professional Competency Questionnaire by Molaei Nejad (2012) and the Academic Achievement Questionnaire by Pham and Taylor (1994) were used. The data were analyzed using correlation coefficients and SPSS and PLS software. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between goodwill, reliability, customer-oriented service, achievement motivation, and teachers' innovation with students' academic achievement at the significance level (p<0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that teachers' professional competency is significantly related to their performance in applying the principles of academic achievement tests.
