Investigating the current status of the effectiveness of Farhangian University functions

Abstract :
The aim of this study was to investigate the current status of the effectiveness of Farhangian University functions. The statistical population included 779 faculty members of Farhangian University in the academic year 1397-98. The sample size was estimated at 227 based on the Cochran's formula. Cluster and simple stratified random sampling was used to select the sample. Data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire on a 5-point Likert scale, the validity of which was assessed by face, content and diagnostic validity and its reliability by Cronbach's alpha method. One-sample t-test was used for statistical analysis. The results showed that the significance level in all components (except the components of resources and communication) is less than 0.05 and therefore the null hypothesis is rejected with 95% confidence for these components and the research hypothesis is confirmed. In other words, the condition of these components is optimal. For the components of resources and communication, considering that their average difference is slightly different from the number 3, it can be said that the status of these components is moderate.
