Abstract :

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the presence and use students on the online social network on students' academic performance and reduce study time, Fatigue and lack of concentration to try and consequently reduce the quality of the academic performance of students of Islamic Azad University Branch. The study of the purpose and method based on correlation methods are implemented. The study population included all postgraduate research population included all students of Islamic Azad University Branch in the academic year studying an important loss 94-95 A total of 301 people are up to. Morgan table was used for sampling and sample 169 was estimated. The method is simple random sampling. A self-made questionnaire with 21 questions is in the form of 6 variables, Cronbach's alpha was used for reliability test results showed the validity of the questionnaire is equal to 0/875 and for validity of content validity were used. In analyzing the data according to the normality of the dependent variable regression test was used. The results showed that the use of social networking negative impact on students' focus and leads to fatigue in class, academic failure and lack of time to prepare for exams.
