Abstract :

This article is written aiming to review “the role of cultural industry inculture development” and tries to emphasize mostly on the issue of“books and book reading”. In this research, in order to find the desiredmanagement models and the approaches of development of books andbook reading culture in Iran, the data from the questionnaires distributedamong book publishers in Tehran city is analyzed in a surveying method,and offering some descriptive and inferential findings, it concludes thatconcerning increasing the book reading rate, the economical system hasalmost no role, social system plays a weak role, and educational andmanagement systems both have very important roles in it.
