Abstract :

From a long time until now, in all stages of human life, housing has been of special importance due to the provision of basic human needs. Many features of housing design are influenced by beliefs that are rooted in the culture of people in any era, and therefore, designing a suitable housing with regard to the values of culture and belief requires obtaining a model for analyzing cultural values in the design of housing architecture. The analysis of cultural values in the architecture design of urban housing can be a suitable model for formulating policies and legislations in the matter of architectural design and construction of desirable housing. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to present a model for analyzing the values of Iranian-Islamic culture in the architectural design of the buildings of the old context of the neighborhoods of Tehran, so that based on this model, it is possible to analyze and calculate the cultural values used in the architecture of buildings that are in accordance with the Iranian culture. It should be Islamic, it should be tangible and understandable for designers, architects and executives. The research method is mixed (qualitative and quantitative) and practical in terms of purpose and has a descriptive-analytical nature.
