Abstract :
The purpose of the present study was to see how we can enhance academic performance of children with attention-concentration disorder (sluggish) by using handiwork. The sluggish students of interest were studying at an elementary school in District 5 of Tehran. Following Morgan’s Table, a total of 300 of the students were recruited to form the sample. Thirty of them were randomly assigned to two groups of experimental (n= 15) and control (n= 15). Instruments of data collection consisted of Fam and Taylor’s students’ academic performance questionnaire, Swanson et al.’s (1980) attention-concentration disorder questionnaire, and handiwork application assessment scale. Inferential statistics including Pearson correlation were utilized to analyze the data. Findings demonstrate that attention-concentration disorder has a negative relationship with students’ academic performance. Also, using handicrafts showed a positive relationship with sluggish students’ academic performance.
