    Author Guidelines

Points that authors should consider before submitting their article:

    1. The submitted article must be the result of the author/authors' studies and research and include new scientific achievements.
    2. The accuracy of the content, sources, and opinions expressed in the article, as well as the observance of the rights of authors and researchers, are the responsibility of the author/authors of the article.
    3. Students must submit their article jointly with a university faculty member or a person with a doctoral degree.
    4. The submitted article will be evaluated by at least two referees. Publication of the article is subject to the acceptance of at least two referees and the final approval of the editorial board. The editorial board is free to accept, reject, or edit/summarize the article for publication.
    5. Referring to related articles published in Journal of Islamic Wisdom and Law will prioritize the review and evaluation of the submitted article and will also receive a higher score in the review process.
    6. The Persian abstract should not be conceptually translated, but the translation should be accurate and include the translation of all sentences in the Persian text. The English title, abstract, and keywords should be included on the last page of the original article file. In case of changes and revisions in the Persian abstract, the changes should also be applied to the English abstract.
    7. All correspondence (email and text messages) and telephone calls from Journal of Islamic Wisdom and Law are the responsibility of the author only, who is determined at the time of submitting the article through the specified system. Also, if the article needs to be revised or corrected based on the opinions of the referees or the executive secretary of the journal, only the corresponding author can view these revisions or corrections in their dashboard in the system and ultimately resubmit the revised article through the system. Therefore, among the authors of the article (if the article has more than one author), one of the authors must be designated as the corresponding author when submitting the article through the system. The corresponding author is the author who will be responsible for all correspondence and communication regarding the submitted article. It is necessary for the corresponding author to provide their valid mobile phone number and email address in the journal’s system. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the author being responsible for any possible consequences, and the journal will not be responsible for any delays in the review process or even rejection of the submitted article.
    8. Dear authors, to cover the costs related to the evaluation and issuance of an acceptance certificate, you must pay 150,000 Tomans before the article is accepted, and after the acceptance of the article, you must pay 350,000 Tomans for publication via online payment. Please do not deposit the above amount until the article topic is confirmed and referred through the system for payment.
    9. Dear authors, please read the "Author Guidelines" section to learn how to register in the system, submit your article, and track the latest status of your article.
    10. When submitting an article through the system, authors must complete the "Copyright Form," "Conflict of Interest Form," and "Authorship Contribution Form" and send a copy of these forms along with the original article file.
    11. If the article is not prepared according to this guideline, it will be returned to the corresponding author by the journal technical editor for more revisions.

    1. As much as possible, no words or letters should be used for the content section of the article.
    2. The Persian abstract and its translation into English should be at least 100 and at most 200 words and should be in one paragraph.
    3. Key terms should be a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 7 words and should be listed in alphabetical order in the Persian text.
    4. Referencing method:

The referencing method for articles is in APA style, which is available in the author’s guidelines section.

    1. References should be in-text and immediately after the quote in parentheses in the following format: (Author’s last name, year of publication: page number). If the reference is at the end of a sentence, a period should be placed outside the parentheses. For example: (Raei, 1401: 3).
    2. If there are two authors, the last name of both authors should be written: (Raei, Zamani, 1396: 250). If there are more than two authors, only the last name of the first author should be written, and for other authors, the phrase "et al." should be used: (Raei et al., 2011: 210).
    3. The referencing method for judicial and arbitration opinions should also be in-text, as follows: (Issuing authority, year of issuance: relevant paragraph). For example: (104. para: 2010, Rep ICJ).
    4. In case of repeating a source, the source should be cited exactly again instead of using Ibid, cit. op, or the same.
    5. How to list the references:
    6. The end-of-article reference list should be listed in order: Books, Articles, Documents, Opinions, etc. and listed with sequential numbering as follows:
    7. Books: Author’s Last Name, First Name (Publication Date). Book Title in Italics, Translator or Editor's Name, Publication Place, Publisher, Volume Issue. Example:

Crawford, James (2012). Brownlie's Principles of Public International Law, London, Oxford University Press.

    1. Articles: Author’s Last Name, First Name (Publication Date). Full Article Title in Quotation Marks, Journal Name in Italics, Volume, Issue Number in Parentheses, Page Range of the Article, Example:

Donnelly, Jack (1980). "Natural Law and Right in Aquinas’ Political Thought", the Western Political Quarterly, vol. 33, pp. 520-535.

    1. Articles Published in a Book/Collection of Articles: In the end-of-article reference list, it should be listed as follows: Author’s Last Name, First Name. "Article Title in Quotation Marks." In Book Title in Italics, edited by Editor’s Last Name, First Name (Publication Date), Publication Place, Publisher, Page Range of the Article. Example:

Scovazzi, Tullio (2006). “The Protection of Underwater Cultural Heritage: Article 303 and the UNESCO Convention”, in: D. Freestone, R. Barnes and D. Ong (eds.), The Law of the Sea Progress and Prospects, Oxford University Press, pp. 120-136.

    1. Book and article titles should not be in bold.
    2. Since this journal is also going to be indexed in international databases, please add the English translation of Persian sources to the end of the Persian references. If any of the sources have a DOI identifier, it is better to add this identifier to the reference. To translate the names of authors and books, authors can use the website below:

    http://mylanguages.org/farsi_romanization.php

    1. It is better to have English translations of sources as much as possible and avoid Romanizing or so-called Finglishing them. However, for sources that only exist in Persian, such as Persian books, you can use the Roman script method and put the phrase “in Persian” in parentheses at the end of the source.
    2. Formatting the File Containing Authors’ Information:

The names and information of the authors should not be mentioned in the main article file. Instead, they should be written in a separate file in the following order and submitted along with the main article file through the system:

    1. First, the “Persian Title” and then the “English Title” of the article should be included at the top of the page.
    2. The authors' information should be listed in the following order (in Persian and English): First and Last Name, Academic Rank, Department Name, Faculty Name, University Name, City Name, Country Name.
    3. Avoid using titles such as "Engineer," "Doctor," etc. at the beginning of authors' names.
