Abstract :
Abstract: Citizenship education is one of the most important and challenging issues in various fields of human sciences, especially education. This article reviews the research literature conducted from 1990 to 2016 in order to provide a general framework in the field of citizenship education by reviewing the topics of researcher interest. 877 papers indexed in the ISI database were analyzed using social network analysis to identify existing trends and provide recommendations for the future research. The results of the study showed that the United Kingdom, with more than 22% of production in the field of citizen education, and London University are ranked in the first level of Citizenship education scientific production. Keywords, abstracts and citations carefully considered in order to identify the trends in the field of citizenship education.
