Identification of Barriers and Solutions of Using Capabilities of Electronic Informational Banks from the Point of View of Graduate Students (Case Study: Isfahan University)

Abstract :
The purpose of this study was the identification of most major barriers and solutions of using capabilities of electronic informational banks from the point of view of graduate students of Isfahan University. The method of the research was descriptive-survey and the statistical population was all graduate students of Isfahan University (4035 people) in the 2008-2009 academic year. According to Krejcie and Morgan table, 380 persons were selected by random stratified sampling method. The data collecting tool which consists 3 parts was a researcher made questionnaire with 0.84 validity and 0.85 reliability. The first part was related to the demographic information; the second part was related to the identification of most major barriers of using capabilities of electronic informational banks; and the third part deals with the identification of most major solutions. In order to analyze the information, the statistical methods of frequency, percentage and one sample t test was used. The results showed that the graduate students considered the most important barriers of using electronic informational banks as "lack of familiarity with information searching skill", with average 4.27 that is more than mean (3). Also they stated that "establishing English language courses towards better use of world web network" (81.2%), and "establishing special courses for training skills of searching electronic informational banks" (75.7%) were the most important solutions.
