The Effect of Solution- Focused Group Counseling on Reducing Job Stress in a Group of Female Employees of the Educational Foundation of "Ghalamchi"

Abstract :
The goal of this study was to assess the result of solution- based group counseling in reducing job stress in the female employees of the educational foundation of Ghalamchi in 2009.The target group included the entire female employees of that foundation. A group of 24 women were selected and randomly grouped as the control and experimental groups. The data was collected using Pillip L-Rice`s Job Stress questionnaire (1992),which consists of fifty seven , five-item questions on the three categories of interpersonal relations, bodily symptoms and job preferences. The experimental group performed in a series of 8 solution focused counseling sessions .To analyze the data ,descriptive statistics as well as inferential statistics (the Independent T test, the Interdependent T test and the Covariance Analysis Test) were used. The results indicate that solution focused group counseling is in fact effective on reducing the job stress in working women .Solution Focused Group Counseling is beneficial in reducing interpersonal stress, its physical symptoms and job preference stress .The effect of Solution Focused Group Counseling in reducing job stress in female workers is appropriately long-lasting in time.
