    Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement for the Quarterly of Communications Psychology

    All participants are expected to stick to the mentioned ethics. It is clear that any plagiarism or other unethical behaviors will lead to the elimination of the paper from the reviewing process. This code of ethics has been designed for delineating the responsibilities and commitments of the authors, editor in chief, editorial board, and reviewers:

     Duties of Editor in chief (Editor)and Editorial Board:

     Publication Decisions: The Editor/Guest Editor(s) have the right to make the final decision on whether to accept or reject a manuscript with reference to the significance, originality, and clarity of the manuscript and its relevance to the journal.

    Fair Review: Editors should give fair consideration to all manuscripts offered for publication, judging each on its merits without regard to country, race, religion, nationality, sex, seniority, or institutional affiliation of the author(s).

    Confidentiality: The Editor/Guest Editor(s) and the editorial staff will ensure that systems are in place to ensure the confidentiality and protection from misuse of material submitted to the journal while under review and the protection of authors’ and reviewers’ identities and will themselves take all reasonable steps to preserve the confidentiality of authors’ and reviewers’ identities.

     Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: The Editor/Guest Editor(s) should ensure that submitted manuscripts are processed in a confidential manner, and that no content of the manuscripts will be disclosed to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, as appropriate.The Editor/Guest Editor(s) should excuse themselves from considering a manuscript in which they have a real or potential conflict of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, financial or other relationships or connections with any of the Authors, companies or institutions connected to the manuscript. 

    • Duties of Reviewers:

    Fair reviews: Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly and professionally. Reviewers should avoid personal biases in their comments and judgments and they should express their views clearly with supporting arguments. Reviewers must provide substantiated and fair reviews to assist the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper.

    Right of refusal: Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the assigned manuscript or unable to provide a prompt review should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process. Furthermore, Reviewers should refuse to review manuscripts where they have provided written comments on the manuscript or an earlier version to the Author, and, in which they have any conflicts of interest resulting from collaborative, financial, institutional, personal, or other relationships or connections with any of the companies, institutions, or people connected to the papers.

    Confidentiality: Information regarding manuscripts submitted by authors should be kept confidential and be treated as privileged information. Reviewers should not discuss the manuscript with anyone other than the Editor, nor should they discuss any information from the manuscript without permission.

    Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that had been previously reported elsewhere should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also call to the Editor in Chief's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.

    Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections  

    • Duties of Authors:

     Reporting standard: The Corresponding Author is responsible for the content validity of the manuscript. Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

      Plagiarism and Self-Plagiarism: Plagiarism and Self-Plagiarism constitute unethical publishing behavior and are unacceptable. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all work in the manuscript is free of any plagiarism, falsification, fabrications, or omission of significant material.

     Originality: The submitted manuscript should represent new and original work. An author should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

     Acknowledgement: The work of others must always be properly acknowledged.  Information obtained in the course of confidential services, such as refereeing manuscripts or grant applications, can only be used with the explicit written permission of the author of the work involved in these services.

     Authorship of the Paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. All those who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included on the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.

     Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should also be disclosed.

     Fundamental errors in works: When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the Quarterly of Communications Psychology Editor and cooperate with him to correct the paper. Omitting, adding or reordering the authors or changing the corresponding author is not permitted after a manuscript is accepted for publication. If the Editor or the publisher learns from a third party that a published work contains a significant error, it is the obligation of the author to promptly retract or correct the paper or provide evidence to the Editor of the correctness of the original paper. The journal maintains the right to accept or reject submitted manuscripts ant to edit, summarize or revise the accepted ones. Submitted manuscripts are not retrievable. 

      License terms

     The whole content of the journal is made freely available for non-commercial purposes, users are allowed to copy and redistribute the material, transform, and build upon the material as long as they cite the source. 

     Open Access Policy

    With the launch of an integrated management system for publications in Islamic Azad university, all articles of Quarterly of Communications Psychology are available online (Open Access) at no cost. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

     Copyright and Permissions:

     The author (s) hereby permanently assign all material and intellectual rights in the above article to the "Quarterly of Communications Psychlogy" and make no claims to it (it is to be noted that any author may copy and submit his / her article citation).
