Analysis of the role of new product development on sustainable performance through strategic agility

Abstract :
. Since 1972, many conferences on sustainable development have been held on topics such as progress in social equality, environmental protection and the key role of companies to achieve sustainable development. Businesses and especially industries have an impact on many environmental and social priorities of sustainable development, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the well-being of their workforce. Also, companies play a key role in extending sustainability to other members of their networks such as; have customers or suppliersThe current research has investigated the impact of new product development on sustainable performance through the role of strategic agility and absorptive capacity in small and medium industries. The research method used is descriptive survey. Also, the statistical population in the present study is all the managers of the industrial estates of Tehran province. The sample size was determined using Cochran's formula of 105 people and the sampling method of the present study is simple random. Research data was collected by library and field method and questionnaire was used as the tool. The reliability of the questionnaires has been confirmed using the Cronbach's alpha method of 0.877 and the validity of the instrument using the content method. Research information was analyzed with the help of SMART PLS software and using statistical, descriptive and inferential tests. The results of this research indicate that the development of new products has had a positive effect on sustainable performance and absorption capacity. Also, the results showed that absorption capacity has a significant effect on sustainable performance. In addition, strategic agility significantly moderates the impact of new product development on sustainable performance. On the other hand, the development of new products through strategic agility has a significant impact on sustainable performance.
