Abstract :
The present study aimed to investigate the role of organizational trauma on organizational incivility with the mediating role of organizational silence. In today's world, organizations, as social and economic institutions, play a vital role in the development and progress of society. However, internal challenges and organizational stressors can have negative effects on employee behaviors and performance. This research was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of method and nature of correlation. The statistical population of the research includes all employees of Khorasan Razavi Telecommunication Company. The Cochran method was used to determine the sample size, and accordingly, 384 people were selected by simple random sampling. In order to collect research data, Salavati et al.'s Organizational Silence Questionnaire (2014), Dehim and Dolati's Organizational Trauma Questionnaire (2017), and Slater and Jacks' Organizational Uncivilization Questionnaire (2012) were used. Content validity and confirmatory factor analysis were used to measure validity, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to measure reliability. The Cronbach's alpha values for organizational trauma, organizational uncivilization, and organizational silence were calculated to be 0.96, 0.92, and 0.96, respectively. Data analysis was performed using structural equations and partial least squares approach and Smart PLS software. The results of the study indicate a positive and significant relationship between organizational trauma and organizational silence, as well as organizational silence and organizational incivility, with path coefficients of 0.53 and 0.48, respectively. Also, according to the results, it can be said that organizational trauma has a positive and significant effect on organizational incivility with the mediating role of organizational silence.
