The role of social and intellectual capital in increasing employee productivity (Case study: Mazandaran Agricultural Research and Training Center)

Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to predict the productivity of the staff of MazandaranAgricultural Research and Training Center based on social and intellectual capital components. Theresearch method of this research is applied based on the purpose and descriptive-correlational basedon data collection. The statistical population of the study included all staff members of MazandaranAgricultural Research and Training Center, 168 of which, using Cochran's formula, 125 peoplewere selected as a statistical sample using random sampling method. Data collection, usingdocumentary and library study methods, search through electronic sources, interviews and standardsocial capital questionnaires based on Nahapit and Gushal (1998) model and intellectual capitalbased on Buntis and Holland model ( 2002) and Taylor and Brent Performance ProductivityQuestionnaire (2013). Pearson correlation test, regression and t-test were used to analyze the datausing SPSS software. Findings show that social and intellectual capital predicts employeeproductivity and each of the components of predictor variables, social capital (r = 0.33) andintellectual capital (r = 0.31). ) Positively and meaningfully predict the criterion variable. The resultcan be acknowledged; Today, due to the environmental changes that organizations, especiallyresearch and educational organizations are facing. Managers of agricultural research and trainingcenters need to institutionalize intellectual and social capital in employees to increase performanceand productivity.
