Identification and Ranking of Effective Factors on Job Satisfaction among the Faculty Members in Mazandaran Province Islamic Azad University Branches

Abstract :
The objective of this study was the identification and the ranking of effective factors on job satisfaction among the faculty members of Islamic Azad Universities in Mazandaran. The research method was descriptive, and the study was a type of survey research. The population of the study included all full-time faculty members in all branches of Islamic Azad University, who were teaching in the academic of year 89-90. The number of the participant members was 1518. The sample of this study was selected through the Kerjcie and Morgan table. 309 faculty members were selected via applying the random sampling method. To collect the data of the study, a researcher-made questionnaire was used. The validity of questionnaire was estimated by a body of teachers and experts. The reliability coefficient was estimated by Chronbach Alpha as to be 0.96. The data were analyzed through the descriptive and inferential methods of statistics: the T-test and the Friedman test. The results of this study showed that physical, motivational, organizational, professional and scientific factors affected the participant members’ job satisfaction and the effects of professional factors were more than other factors.
