Abstract :
the aim of the current research was to investigate the relationship between the digital divide between generations and the social health and lifestyle of students. The method of the current research is applied-descriptive and survey type. The statistical population of this research includes parents and their children who were studying in the second period of secondary school in Kerman city in 2016-2017, and their number was 5000. The random sampling method was simple, and 357 people were selected as a statistical sample. In this research, Huang's digital divide questionnaire (2003), Keyes' social health questionnaire (2004) and Walker's health promoting lifestyle questionnaire (1997) were used. SPSS software was used for data analysis and hypothesis testing. In examining the relationship between the intergenerational digital divide and social health, considering the negative correlation coefficient (value -0.724), it is clear that the relationship between these two indicators is inverse and significant. That is, with the increase in the digital gap between generations, the social health of students also decreases. In the examination of the relationship between the intergenerational digital divide and the unusual lifestyle, it can be seen that the relationship between these two components is positive and significant, according to the sign of the correlation coefficient (value 0.598). That is, with the increase of the digital divide between generations, the lifestyle will also change from traditional to modern, which will be unusual for students of the entire society.
