Abstract :
The present study aims to develop a questionnaire and determine its psychometric characteristics in accordance with cultural norms in Iranian society. The questionnaire is intended to measure factors affecting sharing knowledge in universities. The study is carried out in three stages. Initially, the factors are identified using a qualitative method based on a grounded theory. They are put into a framework. Then, items in the questionnaire were formulated based on interviews with faculty members. Finally, psychometric characteristics of the questionnaire, i.e. validity, and reliability, were investigated. A sample of 90 faculty members participates in the study. The results, based on confirmatory factor analysis, support 20 items related to factors affecting sharing knowledge in universities.
