Abstract :
Biometric factors are a set of effective factors that enable athletes to surpass other opponents physically. The general purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of TRX training on some selected biometric factors in young volleyball girls. 24 female volleyball players from Mashhad volleyball academies were randomly selected and divided into two groups of 12, TRX exercises and control. In the pre-test stage, five selected biometric factors including 1) flexibility, 2) paw strength, 3) speed, 4) agility and 5) anaerobic power by tests of 1) forward trunk flexibility, 2) isometric measurement The strength of paws, 3) running 4 in 9, 4) Ellions and 5) Bosco frequency jumps (ergo jump) were measured in both experimental and control groups. Then, the experimental group performed selected TRX exercises for eight weeks (two sessions of 30 minutes each week) and then specialized volleyball exercises. During this period, the control group only practiced volleyball. After the end of the training protocol, the post-tests were performed. The resulting data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) in Spss 23 software. The Shapiro-Wilk test was used to check the normality of the data. The results showed that TRX exercises had a significant effect on the factors of flexibility, claw strength and speed, and did not have a significant effect on the factors of agility and anaerobic power. It can be concluded that TRX suspension exercises have positive effects on some biometric factors and physical fitness of young volleyball girls. According to the results of the present study, it seems that the combination of TRX exercises with specialized volleyball exercises leads to a more favorable increase in the performance of young volleyball girls.
