Pathology of Environmental Education in the Ministry of Education of Iran

Abstract :
The present study was designed and conducted with the aim of pathology of environmental education in the Ministry of Education of Iran. The method of this research was survey. The statistical population included experts from the Ministry of Education. According to Morgan's table, 169 people were selected as the statistical sample of the study. Based on the return rate of the questionnaires, which was 86%, 145 questionnaires were analyzed. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire based on the Weiss board model, which had two demographic sections and the main questions of 22 questions. Due to the epidemic of COVID-19 disease, the questionnaire was delivered to the statistical sample online. For data analysis, statistical methods of Smirnov Kolmogorov, exploratory factor analysis test and sample t-test were used. The results showed that 6 complications of goals, structure, reward, useful mechanisms, communication and leadership were among the complications related to environmental education in the Ministry of Education and the complication of goal was more unfavorable than others. Therefore, it is inferred that senior managers of the Ministry of Education should pay more attention to the goals in order to improve environmental education.
