Designing a competency-based counseling and guidance bachelor's curriculum template (Farhangian University case study)

Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to design and validate the competency-based curriculum model for the counseling and guidance undergraduate course of Farhangian University. The approach of the current research is qualitative and theoretical research. The statistical population of the research included professors and experts, using the snowball sampling method, 12 professors were selected as a statistical sample. To collect information from a semi-structured interview. Data analysis was done using the coding method and through Max Kyuda software. In order to check the reliability of the data, Guba and Lincoln (1980) criteria and methods such as Eisner's expertise and criticism were used. In this research, 5 themes, 11 main categories and 33 sub-categories were identified, which themes include goals, which include 2 categories of subjective and objective goals and 4 sub-categories. The content of the categories of educational materials and resources included 2 categories of educational space and educational resources and 4 sub-categories, the content of educational strategies included 2 categories of educational strategies and teaching strategies and 5 sub-categories, the content of evaluation included 2 general and partial evaluation categories and 4 sub-categories. According to the identified components, the proposed model can be taken into consideration in order to improve the competence of undergraduate counseling and guidance students of Farhangian University.
