Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the resilience with big five personality factors. Method of research was correlation and the statistical society in cludedall people who lived in Mobarakeh- Esfahan (1390) in which 57 male and 48 female were selected using convenience sampling. Assessment tools consisted of Conner- Davidson Resilience scale (CD-RISC), (2003) and Neo-Five Factor inventory (NEO-FFI, Costa & McCrae, 1990). The data was analyzed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis (enter method). The results showed that resilience was negatively associated with neuroticism (P < 0.01) and positively related to extraversion and conscientiousness (P < 0.01). There was not a significant relationship between the resilience and openness and agreeableness. Also analysis of regression revealed that only neuroticism could predict the resilience in this group (P < 0.001).
