Study the impact of new media on entrepreneurship skills and national development with emphasis on the role of startups

Abstract :
The importance of the role of entrepreneurship and national development in the country's economy is important and also communication and information technologies have important consequences and effects in today's society. Including in the economies of countries, the discussion of entrepreneurship and national development. Because these new media, especially web 2-based media called social networks, contribute to creativity, free communication and knowledge sharing among users. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to study the impact of new media on entrepreneurship skills and national development with emphasis on the role of startups. This research is a qualitative research that was done through interviews. The study population is communication and development specialists and activists in the field of start-ups and businesses, which was done by snowball sampling method until theoretical saturation. The results of qualitative data analysis showed that there are four characteristics of social networks including flexibility, penetration, interactivity and public domain characteristics in these networks. Also, the most important entrepreneurial skills of startup managers include personality traits, job traits and social traits. Also, the dimensions of national development in this study that startups are important in its formation include job creation, facilitating development activities, balanced development, competitiveness, removing barriers, giving hope and reducing social anomalies.
