The relationship between social responsibility and organizational commitment among employees of cooperative, labor and social welfare departments of West Azerbaijan province

Abstract :
This study was conducted with the aim of determining the relationship between the dimensions of social responsibility and organizational commitment among employees of cooperative, labor and social welfare departments of West Azerbaijan province. The statistical population was employees of cooperative, labor and social welfare departments of West Azerbaijan province, who were 236 people. Based on the Cochran formula, the sample size was determined as 146 people. The sample selection method was stratified random sampling (based on place of service and gender). The research method was a survey and the data collection tool were standard and researcher-made questionnaires. Based on the findings, the mean of the social responsibility variable was 8.73 with a standard deviation of 14.68 and the organizational commitment variable of employees was 95.48 with a standard deviation of 9.98. The results showed that, there is no significant relationship between the level of social responsibility of employees and their organizational commitment, but there is a positive and significant relationship between the social and ethical dimensions of social responsibility of employees and their organizational commitment. Also, there was no significant relationship between the economic and legal dimensions of social responsibility of employees and their organizational commitment
