Abstract :
Abstract
Introduction: The aim of the study was to predict job performance based on cognitive flexibility and perceived extra-competence of primary school teachers in Saghez city.
research methodology: The present study was applied research in terms of its purpose and descriptive research in terms of its data collection method. The statistical population of the present study consisted of all teachers working in the primary education system in Saghez city, who were teaching in the academic year 1403-1404, which was equal to 730 people. The sample size was estimated to be 252 people using the Cochran formula, The sample size was estimated to be 252 people using the Cochran formula, who were selected using convenience sampling. Psychological flexibility, job Performance, and Perceived Extra-competence Questionnaire were used to collect data.
Findings: The findings indicated that cognitive flexibility had a significant effect on teachers' job performance. Among the components of cognitive flexibility, the component of perceived controllability had a significant effect on job performance. Finally, none of the components of Overqualification had a significant effect on teachers' job performance.
Conclusion: According to the findings, it can be concluded that psychological flexibility is a strong predictor of job performance of elementary school teachers. The higher the psychological flexibility, the better the job performance. On the other hand, in this study, perceived extra-competence does not have a significant effect on job performance.
